We’re doing secret friend initiative at work & mine has said her all time favourite book is The metal heart by @CarolineleaLea. I’ve ordered it to read but I’m a slow reader so looking for advice. Anyone read it & have any ideas for something I could do/get for my secret friend?
Just lost over 2 hours trying to get my @TarquinGroup ebooks loaded onto my new computer with the stupid @adobe digital editions software all to no avail. Waste of time & money. To all teachers: buy the paper books or go to @ATMMathematics for resources. #Maths #Education 🤬💸

On the documentary last night with @realjoeswash it mentioned that there is now legislation to prevent children in care having their belongings moved in bin bags. If this is the case why do we still hear of many cases of this practice? Request bags at madlugfoundation.org/request…

Teaching is hard. Does it get easier? Of course it does but theres always challenges and tomorrow is a new day when we get to try again .. and after a shite day sometimes you need to remind yourself. New day. Fresh start.

True. What’s hard is that it’s not just children who’ve been impacted by covid and lack of funding, it’s teachers too. To be able to co-regulate and lead a class well you’ve got to feel calm, valued, decently paid and respected. And many don’t.
