Today, at the 180th Special Session of the @FAO Council, I recalled Iran’s destabilizing actions - not only toward Israel but globally - and reiterated Israel’s commitment to working with partners in support of global food security.

🐝 No pollinators, no food security.
Today Israel is taking part in the Global Pollinator Conference at @FAO
Strongly committed to protecting the bees, birds and bats that 75% of the world's food crops depend on.
#Pollinators #FoodSecurity
Honoured to take the floor at the 3rd committee to discuss this important topic and to be clear about the role of the @UN.
@IsraelinUN @NitzanArny
My colleague @JennySedov on a glaring contradiction: a UN mandate tasked with combating Nazi glorification cannot turn a blind eye to Nazi inversion and Holocaust distortion within the #UN itself.
The UN must be a shield against antisemitism ⬇️

We are deeply disturbed and shocked by the terrorist attack on the Embassy of Israel that took place overnight. We strongly condemn it. Terrorism knows no borders. It poses a direct threat to security and peace around the world.
Following the incident, I spoke with the Minister of the Interior in a technical mandate, who assured me that the attack would be thoroughly investigated.
This is already the second attack on the Embassy of Israel in the past two years. We call for a swift and thorough investigation to discover who is behind this act and ensure that those responsible are brought to justice.
We express our profound respect and deepest gratitude to the member of the Serbian Gendarmerie. His courage and decisive response prevented even more serious consequences and potentially greater bloodshed. We wish him a swift and full recovery.
We confirm that all Embassy staff are safe and well.

The arrest of Youssef Siher brings to light a reality that can no longer be ignored: "Palestianism" is an ideology of radicalization and subversion that exploits the Palestinian cause to undermine Western societies from within. A concrete threat to security, stability, and the values of democratic institutions, which can no longer be underestimated or tolerated.
What a week! From #Seeds2Foods to the @World_FoodForum @IsraelinUN_Rome was proud to host the DG and Chief Scientist from @AgricultureGov who participated in the various events and had excellent meetings, as well as our innovative experts. 🇮🇱 🌾 💦

Israel learned to grow food under difficult conditions.
Now, writes @AmbMeron, “is the time to concentrate our efforts so that more of that knowledge helps others grow, adapt and thrive”

To conclude the @World_FoodForum, today the DG of @agriculturegov attended the #WorldFoodDay ceremony at @FAO.
Israel echoes the words of @FAODG: "innovation is not just about technology, it's about people." 🌾

Farmers are not just end users of innovation: their experience should shape research priorities. A key lesson from our Chief Scientist at #SIF2026, and one worth sharing with partners everywhere 💧🌾
Dr. Michal Levy, Chief Scientist of @agriculturegov, at #SIF2026: innovation means turning research into practical solutions, connecting scientists, farmers, businesses and institutions 🌱
And it can't simply be replicated: it must adapt to local needs.

Robots growing tomatoes? Vineyards in the desert? Yes. 🍅🍇
Only 100 mm of rain a year, sand and stone — and still, the Negev grows food.
How is it possible?
At @FAO’s #FromSeedsToFoods, Yuval Kaye director of the Ramat Negev Desert Agro-Research Center showed the greenhouse of the future — and how technology can help feed us all.

On 7th of October we remember all those who were brutally taken from us, and the words of our national anthem: ‘Our hope is not lost, to be a free nation in our country’.

Israel at #COFO28 brings something few countries have: decades of experience in the drylands. 🌳
More than 60% of our land is arid or semi-arid.
Restoring landscapes under water scarcity, drought and wildfire risk is not only a national priority for us — it is something we know how to do.

Animal health, human health and food systems are one problem, not three.
Israel is at the Global Conference on One Health in Agrifood Systems at @FAO this week — where veterinary science, public health and agriculture finally sit at the same table.

Humanitarian aid should follow needs, not politics.
🇸🇩 33.7M people→ $2.9B
🇨🇩 14.9M people → $1.4B
🇵🇸 3.6M people → $4.06B
The disparity speaks for itself.

. @UNOCHA's resource allocation doesn't follow humanitarian needs.
It follows its obsession.
🇸🇩 Sudan: 33.7M people in need → $2.9B
🇨🇩 Democratic Republic Congo: 14.9M people in need → $1.4B
🇵🇸 Gaza Strip & Judea Samaria: 3.6M people in need → $4.06B

Israel’s Negev achieved international recognition as a
protected appellation — joining Champagne, Bordeaux,
Chianti & Napa Valley. The recognition goes beyond
#wine: it reflects Israeli innovation and adaptability to
turn a semi-desert into a thriving wine-producing
region.
