Tyler wouldn't take his little brother trick-or-treating. So 7-year-old Joey drew a face on a paper bag and went alone.
"Be back by nine."
What Are You Supposed To Be? A 104-second Halloween horror short, made entirely with AI. #HorrorShort
This series has been so much fun to watch.
Happy Halloween 🎃
I've loved watching everyone's Halloween shorts this month. AI isn't outsourcing anyone's creativity. It's letting it out.
Here's my final one: SMASHED, a Fun Size Halloween short. Made with @invideoOfficial.
Been playing with performance at @form_films this week.
Three AI actors, one slow push-in each: a laugh, a cry, a slow-burn anger. No cuts, no edits. Just the camera easing in while the emotion builds.
The tools are getting to the point where the acting is the interesting part.
I run a dozen AI agents at once, so I built them a starship bridge.
Agent Bridge: every project is live on one LCARS screen. I say “Computer” and give orders by voice, approve things with one tap, and review the results in an inbox.
Built with Claude Code. 🖖
Under the hood:
• Projects keep running when I close or update the app
• Claude Code, Codex, Grok and Gemini side by side
• Big jobs split into helpers
• It retries by itself when the servers are busy
• I can paste a screenshot into any message
• The same inbox works on my phone
A little spec short I directed based on my nightly routine.
Our first quick spin with Absurd: a 15-second spec toothpaste ad about a dad making sure his daughter brushed before bed.
Big thanks to the @withabsurd team for inviting us to play with their AI tools. Already itching to make the next one.
The haters keep saying I can't make anything without AI.
My brother and I made this feature in 2007. It won the Audience Award at the Rome International Film Festival and has 1.6M YouTube views.
Claude Opus 5.5 cut and mixed this trailer from our 2007 masters, through 14 rounds of my notes. ElevenLabs arranged the hymn and made the sound effects. Upscaled with Topaz. Every frame is from the original film. No generated footage.
Same filmmaker. Better tools.
Hot take: AI didn't make filmmaking easier. It made every department your job.
Hard Stop has 6 actors in one room. I was casting, wardrobe, props and script supervisor at the same time: voices, looks, logos on shirts and walls, entrances, exits, the right chair, the right prop at the right seat, someone pouring a glass of water.
None of that is directing yet. The performances and the comic timing came after.
