From @amyewalter: Despite being outspent by millions in TV advertising, Democratic Senate candidates narrowly lead their GOP opponents in three red states critical to control of the U.S. Senate: Ohio, Texas and Iowa. The Democratic candidates for governor also lead in two out of three of these states.

“If the terms were right, I’d have no problem” debating Talarico, Paxton says.
What are his terms?
“I don’t know what all the terms are but I do know I don’t want a CNN reporter.”
Fox News said it would host if Paxton agreed, after Talarico challenged him to a debate there.
I had jerky at Buc-ee’s with @KenPaxtonTX and talked about his emotions going into the midterms.

Harris County (Houston) voters really got out on that 1st day of in person early voting on Monday. Check out the graph showing the 1st day voting on Monday compared to previous two midterm election cycles via @HarrisVotes
Mystery solved! Why is there record breaking early voting in Harris County, Texas. Check out the coolest voting sticker in America!
There if you needed another reason to vote, here it is. If you don't want one of these, what's wrong with you?
A really, really bad sign for Ken Paxton's campaign.
Harris County (biggest in Texas) had more than 104K people vote on the 1st day of early voting. That is a 65% increase from 2018 when Beto O'Rourke won the county by 200K and nearly beat Ted Cruz.
“Elections aren’t won by speeches, they’re won by votes,” Gov @GregAbbott_TX said moments ago at a rally on the western edges of Harris County on the 1st day of early voting.
Abbott tells supporters they are just about a mile from a polling location and need to get over there.
“Vote from the top of the ticket all the way down to the bottom. You are voting blue all the way through,” @letitiaplummer said earlier this morning on the 1st day of in-person early voting in Houston.

Here’s @JasmineForUS reminding me she’s endorse James Talarico 100 times.

She endorsed @jamestalarico earlier this year, but people still asking her about not doing more. She joked with me she has endorsed him “100 times” and is doing more to help him by helping down ballot Dems boost turnout. Take a listen. (2/3)
That is Jasmine Crockett making good on her promise to help Democrats down ballot in Texas. @JasmineForUS is making 8 stop around Houston area today pushing people to vote for people like @letitiaplummer
I caught up with her at Acres Homes Multi-Services Center (1/3) – at Houston, TX

Here’s @letitiaplummer, who is running to Harris County Judge, at Acres Homes this morning calling for historic turnout to help flip Texas. Harris is home to Houston and the largest county in Texas. Gov Greg Abbott won it in 2014, but has lost it in his past reelections – at Houston, TX
Time to vote in Texas! Today is the 1st day of in-person early voting. I started the day in Houston at sunrise where voters were lined up out the door ready to cast ballots. – at Houston, TX
Oh sweet conspiracies! On this week’s Texas Take @evan7257 drops in to talk about how MAGA was duped by false rumors about Talarico. Plus I have video from my trip to RGV where I came across Speaker Mike Johnson, USRep Monica De La Cruz & Hidalgo County Dem Chair Richard Gonzales
Great to get on with @CNN’s Fredricka Whitfield today to talk about the state of the race in Texas. Lot of people outside of Texas surprised this race is close, but this has been building for a decade as Harris County voters push left, complicating the GOP playbook
The US Senate candidates are burning up the highways in what is setting up to be the closest battle for Senate in Texas in decades
@KenPaxtonTX was in Rockwell earlier, heading to Kileen now & then San Antonio tomorrow.
@jamestalarico hits Plano tomorrow then to Denton on Mon
Also looks like Paxton is scheduled to do a TV hit on @SundayFutures tomorrow.
All of this happening as in person early voting starts on Monday.
“I’ll tell you, the eyes of every state in the Union are on the people of Alaska.” @tedcruz in Anchorage talking to @AKNewsNow yesterday
Cruz is stumping for Sen. Dan Sullivan, who is in a tight battle for reelection. Today Cruz will be at a rally Kenai (high temp of 41!)
