Skillet's Jon Cooper told a reporter in a recent interview:
"I just found out another iconic musician became a Christian yesterday. I don’t know if we were allowed to say it or not, so I won’t say his name, but I was lit up yesterday."
Awesome. 👏 👏👏

Today, an entire Christian family was buried in Nigeria.
A father. A mother. Their children.
Murdered for their faith in Jesus Christ by Fulani Muslim terrorists.
The world may ignore it —
but Heaven will not forget.

So the question arises--what is @CTmagazine worth? Is $10 million a fair offer? This can be hard to pin down given that it's a nonprofit media organization and the bulk of its funding has increasingly come from secular NGOs, not subscriptions.
(For example, according to IRS filings, in 2020, only about 20% of CT's revenues came from grants. Today, it's more than half).
In 2023, CT's net assets (assets minus liabilities) — were about $9.9 million. Given that it is a tarnished brand among much of its core audience (so much so it has gained popular nicknames like "Christianity Astray"), and it's editorial reputation has taken a nosedive in recent years, $10 mil doesn't seem like a bad opening offer.
🚨🚨 A Christian publishing company is offering to buy Christianity Today. I have heard many Christians lament that @CTmagazine has been captured by worldly ideology and wish someone would restore it to Billy Graham’s intended purpose.
Looks like @canonpress is trying to do exactly that. I obtained records this morning showing Canon put in a $10 million offer this morning to buy the magazine.
In its offer letter, Canon specifically cites Charlie Kirk’s spirit of evangelism as their motivation. Will be monitoring for further developments.

Many people don't realize how brave it was for those Christian musicians to take the stage at the memorial. When I was in CCM, we had to go through media coaching that literally trained us to avoid conflict and dodge controversial questions. I'm with @johnlcooper. They understood the risk. It took guts to accept the invitation, and they are getting skewered for it.

I am undone. Forever marked. And SO fired up. We just witnessed history today in our nation. Never in the history of our country has there been a day like this. Where the leaders of our nation were publicly declaring their faith and belief in Jesus Christ and sharing their desire and passion for REVIVAL in the USA. What a moment in time. I am more fired up than ever to stand firm for Jesus and to share the gospel wherever I go. He is ALL that matters. May the horrible loss of @charliekirk11 inspire us all to live our lives for Jesus and HIS glory. What a time we’re about to step into. We will NOT back down. 🇺🇸
