The "what a piece of work is a man" Hamlet soliloquy at the end of Withnail & I is the greatest ever recorded performance of it and nothing else comes close. Better than Olivier, Button, Branagh, the lot. Seriously. Look for yourself, see if you can find one as good. You won't.

It's interesting that hip-hop went through a similar transition from the 2000s to the 2020s as rock music did from the 70s to the 90s, becoming less & less about clarity & virtuosity & more about texture, mood, atmosphere. For rock, this was the final frontier before exhaustion.
You go back 15 years and transwomen might of been the butt of punchlines and subject to some unpleasant mockery, but they were using the female toilets and existing as women, and outside of a tiny clique of radfems, not seen as dangerous or an existential threat to women.

What’s interesting about the media class reaction to the death of Rod Liddle is the effusive outpouring of respect from so many in mainstream media and even in progressive mainstream media. It says so much about the stultifying coziness of British journalism.

I wanted the Argies out as much as anyone else
But these aren’t penalties, can’t believe anyone actually thinks they are
It’s not a non-contact sport, 2 shocking dives
Egypt threw that away as much as it was a good comeback, they shit the bed
No VAR check for Egypt about these 2 incidents in the build up to Argentina’s goal xitter.gq/FClipsB/status/2074554…

Did You Know? Mexico have only lost 3 of 90 competitive matches at the Azteca, the most recent of which came all the way back an hour ago when they ate shit against England
Honestly Americans can be so weird sometimes. They are the most "bad winner" fans I have seen.
They won the game. They have a really favourable draw against a shit Belgium team they should beat.
And all they can do is whinge about the ref and scream "Bias!"
Balogun was in on goal. He beat the defender and was about to score.
No red card. No penalty. No yellow card. No foul. No review.
The bizarre thing is that Fox Sports showed a replay that began just AFTER the defender let go of the arm. So weird. How could the officials miss this? And how could the TV crew miss it as well? @USMNT

I've been enjoying this World Cup overall but I do have an issue with FIFA changing from GD to H2H. Teams like Turkey would have gone into the final game with at least a small sliver of hope to fight for. It's going to make some of the final group stage games far less interesting
