Following the 12th Tana Forum, I was joined by African leaders and senior officials on a visit to Bahir Dar Stadium. The visit provided an opportunity to witness the progress in sports infrastructure and the growing potential of Bahir Dar as a hub for sports, tourism, and regional cooperation.

Today, we inaugurate the Kechene–Ambassador–Gihon– Irreecha–Bambis Riverside Development, a 351-hectare, 10-kilometer corridor advancing our vision of a modern, green, and inclusive Addis Ababa.
With pedestrian walkways, cycling lanes, and integrated transport infrastructure, this development creates a more accessible and liveable urban environment. Its children’s playgrounds, plazas and amphitheaters, sports facilities, and eight fountains and water features offer new spaces for recreation, social interaction, and community life. Parking facilities and eight electric vehicle charging centres, capable of charging over 100 vehicles simultaneously, further strengthen its modern infrastructure.
Through river management, soil and water conservation, and riverside green spaces, we are bringing environmental restoration together with urban transformation. Equally important, we are expanding economic opportunities. A dedicated market centre enables residents who previously lived along the river corridor to produce, display, and sell handicrafts, while an agricultural produce mall connects agricultural producers with markets.
Our vision is to build a city that is not only beautiful but also productive and inclusive; a city that serves its people today and generations to come!

I held a very fruitful telephone conversation with U.S. Secretary of State @marcorubio on key bilateral, regional and multilateral issues of mutual interest.
Our discussion is proof to the commitment of both countries in translating the enduring relationship between Ethiopia and the United States into a more strategic and practical partnership.
I welcome the assurance of continued U.S. support for Ethiopia and our shared commitment to advancing bilateral cooperation and addressing regional and multilateral priorities.

Attending the Ethiopian Financial Forum? Visit #FaydaVerse booth to connect with us!
On Day 1, the CEO of FaydaVerse, yodahe, spoke on the panel "Scaling Agricultural Finance in Ethiopia: The NAFIR Architecture for Data, Capital, and Capacity," sharing how interoperability is transforming rural financial access.
"Data at the center of agricultural finance isn't just a concept; it is changing the life of the farmer, and in turn, changing the life of the nation."
By bringing together Fayda; provides digital e-KYC, the Agricultural Transformation Institute, which integrates multi-point farmer profile data, and NARLIS rural land data under the Ministry of Agriculture, the FAST platform, hosted at the National Bank database, delivers direct value to farmers.
It eliminates the need for stacks of physical paperwork, repeated registrations, and in-person visits, enabling smarter credit appraisal and frictionless onboarding.
We are honored to support the development of NAFIR FAST (Farmer Access to Streamlined Financial Services). As FaydaVerse, building the platform powering this initiative is a milestone we are proud to share with our ecosystem.
