Gentle reminder that England would have been dumped out of the World Cup by DR Congo if it wasn’t for Harry Kane…
The fucking Congo.

I think this may be one of the best football interviews ever. From both sides. Imagine this happening today? Never. The more you hear about Kevin Keegan makes you realise what a special person he truly was.

Gutted to hear about the passing of Kevin Keegan today, the poster boy of English football as a kid growing up, the Patrick Keegan Kid boots, he was in every magazine, paper, sticker book and advert ( splash it all over! ).
2 Ballon D'ors, icon status for England, Liverpool and Newcastle and the loveliest of men.
Sending sincerest condolences to Kevin's family and friends, he'll be sorely missed.
Rest in peace, Mighty Mouse 🏴🔴⚫️⚪️

*Deep breath* 🧵
I’ve re-watched game from 56mins to clear my heads on the different thoughts from varying voices + work out whether this was psychological meltdown that is on the players (English DNA)? Or was it Tuchel (TT) losing the plot? Or maybe a mix?

There’s a thing with England managers where they think that being seen to change their mind after a big decision will be perceived as weakness - so the option, after Livramento left the camp, of calling up Trent was ignored. But turns out it wouldn’t have been weakness. It would’ve been insightful and flexible. Cue the “Trent can’t defend” replies - but really: Real Madrid’s right back might’ve been quite a good option at right back.

Remember this hilarious moment at the MCG? 😄
The English fielder started pulling off dance moves near the boundary, and the crowd instantly joined in, copying every step. Even @nassercricket couldn't stop laughing in the commentary box. 😂
Pure gold and one of the most wholesome crowd-player interactions you'll ever see.
