On Thursday eve I booked rtn @Ryanair flights London/Malaga for a family holiday. It appears that my surname was changed by Ryanair on the booking from "Reed" to "Redgrave". Now you won't let me change it back without a £230 charge...1/5

It’s excellent news that the government is committed to expanding childcare, but increased entitlement must be matched by more provision and places. 📻 @JodeReed on @BBCWomansHour 👇

Another excellent @IPPR report on early education and childcare offering the metrics evidencing the challenge facing this government in turning the present ECEC system into a more equitable one.
Over two-thirds of parents of young children who work in professions like lawyers, doctors and architects use formal childcare, compared to less than half of parents with occupations such as cleaners, care workers and hairdressers. Find out more: ippr.org/articles/the-childc…

We're pleased to hear that an increase of £1bn has been announced for children with SEND in the budget today. We're looking forward to working with the government to ensure that the early years are represented and that all children with SEND get the best start in life.

£1.8 billion looks like a chunky commitment to childcare - and it is. But this isn't new money; it's recommitting to the plans Chancellor Hunt announced in March 2023. The bigger Budget *change* will be felt in childcare settings' bills: they face a triple whammy on pay.

URGENT! Pls share. The last chance to register to vote in the General Election is 11.59pm tomorrow Tue 18 June. Potentially 8m aren't registered at their current address. Here's 4 key facts... 1) You can do it online here registertovote.service.gov.u… 2) It's good for your finances. Not being on electoral roll can make it more difficult to be accepted for credit products like bank accounts or mortgages. 3) You can opt out of the 'Open Register' (which allows your info to be sold on) which will stop you getting junk mail marketing ) 4) You'll need ID when you do vote (not to register) if you don't have it, you can get it free until Wed 26 June gov.uk/apply-for-photo-id-vo…
