Ontarians need to come together and demand transparency.
The courts ruled that Doug Ford’s phone records should be released. Instead of respecting that ruling, his government is now trying to weaken Freedom of Information laws.
Why?
Our public healthcare system is struggling. Our public education system is struggling. Hospitals are overcrowded, schools are underfunded, and frontline workers are stretched to the limit.
Yet somehow this government always finds billions for projects like the Therme spa at Ontario Place, a massive new Toronto convention centre, and the relocation of the Science Centre a move many experts said wasn’t necessary.
These are OUR tax dollars.
Ontarians have a right to know what deals are being made behind closed doors and who is benefiting from them.
Release the phone records.
