A euphoric JMA Dome after @CuseFootball recovers a fumble in overtime and beats Virginia Tech 38-31. SU is bowl eligible for the third-straight season.
Excellent read here from Amanda today around how both presidential campaigns are utilizing college football TV advertising.
Millions of viewers. Teams in swing states. Access to college-age voters and a male demographic. College football provides a strategic opportunity for presidential candidates.
This year CFB has become another battleground for Trump and Harris.

Most entertaining 4-1 series win I can remember? Credit to the Dodgers. Was simply their year once they got rolling at the back-end of the Padres series.

Mark Vientos on the Mets:
"I am so excited for the future of this team, and everyone here, everyone in that clubhouse, we all can sense that something great is in store. That we’re building something special.
We don’t shy away from it. We embrace it. We’re not afraid to be thinking big, and right now we’re looking to create a legacy of Mets baseball. We want to make it so people come into this organization and know there’s a certain level in terms of how you need to play and dedicate yourself to winning. We want to mold that mentality in New York and do big things.
And it’s not something that’s in the background or just some vibe or something. No! We’ve talked about this. It’s a real thing.
We’re not messing around. And I’m 100% here for it. I’m excited.
Opening Day can’t get here soon enough.
LFGM!!!!!!!!!!!"

Everyone outside NYC: Wow, what a bad sports night for New York.
Half of New York baseball fans: Actually, it was good.
Incredible effort from the Galaxy tonight. That’s how you start the playoffs on the right foot.
FT LA 5-0 COL
The Galaxy didn't allow a shot on goal, nor a goal in this game.
Look at the 5 goals knowing it probably should have been 8.
But the defense just showed up big time.

Cannon and Paintsil tustled in the play. But then Paintsl got kicked across the midsection.
Should be a yellow card minimum.

Such a cool experience last night at the Cruz Azul match. One-of-a-kind, fun atmosphere at Estadio Azul for my first Liga MX contest. (CC: @ACMomento)
Of course I’d prefer this Mets season ended with the World Series. But given where it was in May, and how much fun this year has wound up being, it’s tough to be sad about these 2024 Mets. They battled and were a blast. I’ll love this team more than most from the last 36 years.
