And last but certainly not least, the legendary @JohnSharify is here to share how writing rhythmically resonates. His motto and the name of his presentation: not one extra word.
When writing stories, every word counts. We’re so thankful to have John here with us at #NPPABOP2023

Over the course of the documentary viewers get to know Bob’s humor and understand his choice. Describing the intimate process of reporting “Bob’s Choice,” @JohnSharify said, “We laughed more than we cried, and we cried a lot.”

Should also note this was inspired by a great report from @JohnSharify that both Kat and I saw at @Poynter
This means the world to me. NPPA has honored me with the Clifton Edom award for my years of mentoring journalists. Thank you!!

Maybe worse?
"Saying 'fled on foot' is as bad as swearing on TV" is something I said to a reporter today. Maybe the best writing advice I've ever given. @WriteLikeUTalk
