Max Gilbert boots a 39-yard FG to put the Hogs up 31-21 with 24 seconds remaining…

That was a tremendous opening drive of the second half. Although Arkansas should try not to get unnecessary roughness penalties after touchdowns.

Good for Kentucky. Shows you that with the right leadership, even a first year coach can come in and win big games. I’m Jealous.

Hired the same week. We paid more. They're 5-1 and storming the field. We're 2-4, punting with under two minutes left and booing our own coach. I don't know how to explain this to anyone who loves this program.
Comparison is the thief of joy (but it's also the point of sports)... Will Stein - 5 yr/$28.5 million contract, 5-1, 2 AP Top 10 wins Ryan Silverfield - 5 yr/$33.5 million, 2-4, 6 offensive touchdowns in 4 Power 4 games (3 in garbage time)

Wait, how did Kentucky and their $25 million roster beat an LSU team with a roster worth twice that? I thought that wasn’t allowed. Surely their coach must have built this program over the course of several years and not overnight.

Can I just say one thing? Houston Dale approves of the Hogs running the ball on 3rd and long.

I could not believe Arkansas decided to punt the ball with 1:45 to go in the game. In theory, trade out all three of your timeouts to get the ball back at the same area of the field with just over a minute left IF you can even stop them on the ground. People would be upset if Arkansas didn't convert 4th-and-10, but they wouldn't have been booing from the stands over it. You had built a little good will and momentum even in a loss, and then just throw it away with a really terrible decision. Bad decisions, and a failure to capitalize on your opponent's mistakes. #wps

Ryan Silverfield coaching for the buyout? He just punted the ball away down 7 with 1:45 remaining in the game...

The staff deserves to be boo’d off the field for that punt. That’s unbelievable. I am in shock.

Assume Arkansas finishes out 0-7. They would have to go 8-4 (5-4 in SEC) every single year until 2035 to get back above .500 overall since 2018. At that (optimistic) rate, it would take until 2073 to get back to .500 in the SEC. #WPS

I’m not alleging anything…especially sabotage…but I’m genuinely asking…when a program continues to lose, year after year, despite the money, facilities, resources and fan support…does anyone ever look deeper into why? And I mean deeper. Not the coach. Not the players. Not recruiting. The program itself. The decisions being made behind the scenes. The people making them. The money. The priorities. The structure. At what point does sustained failure warrant the same kind of scrutiny that sustained success gets?

Houston Nutt may have been a very average coach, but at least he gave a damn. The lack of emotion from Silverfield is gonna turn the entire fanbase against him in year one.

I don’t care if it takes a new governor, the entire football coaching staff, board of trustees, and athletic director needs to change for Arkansas. The complete murder of this program is genuinely just horrendous.

Utah game all over again. No excuse for a performance like this. Losing bc the other team is better is one thing. But the penalties, turnovers, baffling playcalling choices, mistakes, no excuse for it. So much for “OTB”

There is plenty of blame to go around. But that was not a well coached half of football at all. It’s one thing if you just don’t have the horses. But when you’re the one that keeps making mistakes and looks completely unorganized against a bad Texas A&M team, it’s much deeper
