Happy Islamophobia awareness month and thank you to all that shared my previous posts and liked.
Today we remember the brutal murder of Lee Rigby, and not to fear Islam.
As a veteran myself this really hit home to what we are dealing with.
Incident – 22 May 2013
Location: Artillery Place, Woolwich, south-east London (near Royal Artillery Barracks)
Victim: Fusilier Lee Rigby, 25, British Army (Royal Regiment of Fusiliers) – off duty, walking back to barracks, minding his own business.
Two Islamic terr0rists, Michael Adebolajo and Michael Adebowale, deliberately targeted him.
They drove a Vauxhall Tigra cowardly at him, from behind, at approximately 30–40 mph, knocking him unconscious. They then got out of the car and attacked him with a meat cleaver and knives, repeatedly hacking at his neck in an attempt to decapitate him. They dragged his body into the road and remained at the scene, telling bystanders the attack was done in the name of Islam as revenge for British military actions abroad.
Weapons used:
Vauxhall Tigra (used as a vehicle-ramming weapon)
Meat cleaver and multiple knives (including a set purchased from Argos the day before)
Non-functioning 90-year-old Dutch 9.4mm revolver (used to threaten members of the public)
Armed police arrived and shot both men.
Both survived, were arrested, and later convicted of murder. Adebolajo received a whole-life sentence; Adebowale received a minimum of 45 years (should be whole life sentance)
Summary: Crude, low-tech attack using a car and household blades ; still lethal and designed for maximum horror.
Today we remember Lee and his sterling service to our Great Nation.
We will never forget.

Jullie zullen wakker worden in een verschrikkelijke nachtmerrie. Een absolute nachtmerrie.
Zodra een bepaald punt is bereikt, wat ik de kritische massa noem, onder andere door geboortecijfers en demografische ontwikkelingen, zullen jullie niet langer in staat zijn jezelf te verdedigen.
Helaas is de witte man door psychologische manipulatie gaan geloven dat mannelijkheid iets slechts is. Dat mannen zwak moeten zijn, zich vooral door hun emoties moeten laten leiden en zacht en meegaand moeten zijn.
Tegelijkertijd komen hier zeer agressieve mensen naartoe. Ze accepteren jullie cultuur niet. Ze accepteren jullie religie niet. Ze accepteren jullie vrouwenrechten niet. Ze accepteren helemaal niets van dit alles.
Ze willen het uitwissen. Ze willen jullie uitwissen.
En jullie zijn blind voor wat er gebeurt. Jullie weigeren het te zien.
Geloof me, dit wordt een nachtmerrie. Een bloedige, verschrikkelijke nachtmerrie.
Word in godsnaam wakker. Ik meen dit bloedserieus.”

Sir Lenny Henry has renewed calls for a national conversation about slavery reparations, arguing that the issue cannot be measured solely in financial terms.
Speaking about the long-term impact of Britain’s role in the transatlantic slave trade, the comedian and campaigner said reparations should be viewed as part of a wider process of acknowledgement, justice and healing.
Reflecting on the subject, he said that addressing the legacy of slavery could bring a “nationwide sigh of relief” over an issue that had “gone unspoken” for generations.
Referencing findings from the Brattle Report, which estimated the economic cost of Britain’s involvement in slavery at around £18.6 trillion, Sir Lenny suggested that discussions about reparations are often avoided because of the scale of the figures involved.
He said: “Once you start to break it down, it goes beyond getting a cash refund for slavery. It becomes about social engineering, and – it’s going to sound really touchy-feely – but it becomes about healing, and about spiritual healing, rather than just cash. It’s hundreds of years of being oppressed and downtrodden.”
He also argued that the financial implications can make people reluctant to engage with the debate, saying: “It’s so huge they’re frightened, because actual reparations would cost trillions of pounds.”
While acknowledging that meaningful change would take time, Sir Lenny said the discussion itself is important and could help shape future generations’ understanding of Britain’s history and its lasting consequences.
He added: “These things take time. Look how long it took to abolish slavery – and to pay for slave owners’ loss of work and earnings. This is to try and push the dial so that the conversation might lead to something. That might take another 100 years, another 150 years.”
