If you’re arrested and detained for a crime you didn’t commit, what sensitive video footage does the police keep of you?    Nadine Buzzard-Quashie asked the question and what she discovered brought on a mental health crisis.  This is her remarkable, exclusive story. 1/

We asked both forces, if as Nadine claims, the real reason for detaining her was to remove the graphic Met Police CCTV footage. They declined to comment while her legal action was ongoing. In its civil defence, Northants Police said the use of force was lawful. 14/

As Shadow Secretary of State for Health and Social Care and a Northamptonshire MP, I was deeply concerned to see the reports regarding arrests at St Andrew’s Healthcare in Northampton. These are extremely serious allegations. My thoughts are with the patients and families affected, and with all those understandably worried by the news. Everyone receiving mental health care must be treated with dignity, compassion and safety at all times. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c5y4…

🚨Over the past year James O’Brien & others have made claims about my departure from LBC. I’m restricted in what I can share with you but hope the statement below will draw a line under the matter. My focus is on moving forward. I am grateful for your continued support, Sangita

NEW: An NAO report published this morning reveals the cost of accommodating asylum seekers has been put at £15.3 BILLION over ten years, more than 3x initial estimates. During the year to April, hotels made up 76% of the bill but housed only 35% of people. nao.org.uk/reports/the-home-…

Mone and Barrowman lied. They told an enormous fib - that they didn't own PPE Medpro - and then sent lawyers to threaten journalists who were exposing the fib. I've no idea why they think anyone will believe this new statement.

I missed this programme by @JonIronmonger when it was first broadcast in November but it’s a very good tour through the history of the curious Captain Tom moment and its aftermath that now feels like an English pandemic version of the Dutch tulip bubble bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/m0…
