The AP Poll ranked Notre Dame No. 5 and Kentucky No. 9 this week.. 🧐🤨 When you actually compare the two resumes, it’s hard to understand how Notre Dame is four spots ahead. Kentucky currently ranks No. 1 in ESPN FPI’s Strength of Record, while Notre Dame sits at No. 13. At some point, college football has to stop letting brand names carry so much weight and start judging teams more on what they’ve actually accomplished on the field.

Sources: Mississippi State star QB Kamario Taylor will miss the rest of the season, as he faces surgery on his injured toe. Taylor has an appointment today to get his toe checked out by a specialist and could have surgery as early as tomorrow. He’s expected to make a full recovery.

Mark Stoops did a lot for Kentucky. So many great wins. His career the last 2-3 years doesn’t reflect on the time he had in Lexington. I’ll always appreciate Stoops and the foundation he laid.
