Excited for the upcoming @SecondSightFilm Blair Witch release, a swift pre-order! Along with all the new cuts and bonus features, V happy to see they've retained the brilliant Curse Of faux documentary that accompanied the original cinema release. A pitch-perfect piece of work..!
I thought Alien: Romulus was really great for about 45 minutes (with one big spoilery thing I hated) before going off the rails at quite a delirious but steady clip, but hey, it’s gooey and jump scarey and I mostly had fun (mostly) and David Jonsson is absolutely wonderful.
“And I feel just like Sigourney Weaver
When she had to kill those aliens
And one guy tried to get them back to the Earth
And she couldn’t believe her ears.”

I SAW THE TV GLOW coming to Max September 20, just in time for spooky szn 🎃 📺 😎
I saw Déjà Vu for the first time (or did I?) last night and god I miss Denzel Washington - Tony Scott collabs. He doesn’t just provide an anchor for Scott’s visual wildness, he does some of his best work within it. Perfect actor-director pairing. (Also Val Kilmer is ace in it)

This is one of the most insane theater displays i’ve ever seen! Imagine walking down the street and seeing this gigantic Xenomorph #AlienRomulus
Saw Jane Schoenbrun’s I Saw The TV Glow last night. Ooof my heart. Beautiful, shattering, eerie, brought tears to my eyes. Loved it, it’s definitely going to stick with me.
It’s funny, eXistenZ is far from my favourite Cronenberg (although I do have a massive soft spot for it), but random moments and lines from it pop into my head so often. Definitely due a rewatch.

Charles Cyphers has passed away. He was an early and frequent collaborator with me on my early movies. A kind man, he was a friend. I shall miss him.
