Why Sri Lanka Needs a Financial Security Net for Retirees and Improved Financial Literacy for Retirees?
Most Retirees in Sri Lanka Purely Depend on Interest Income to Fund Their Expenses. A Reduction in Interest Rate Puts Them at Severe Financial Risk. #lka

.@Jonathanabey, VP - Corp Fin @IIXglobal noted that regional & global corporates have their own venture #capital which we lack in SL. He also emphasised that financial institutions must look into innovative financial solutions & local #investment opportunities.
This Will be Tough.
-Increase Retirement Age (Country Has An Aging Population)
-Start A Hybrid (Investment +Health/Life Cover) Life Insurance from the Younger Days (The Younger You Are Cheaper It Is). Most Retirees in Sri Lanka Don't Have This.
-Build A Passive Source of Income

Was at the Port during the last 24 hours. We managed to allow 1200+ containers of goods to be taken out of the Port. Large number of them perishable cargo. Also could see large amount of perishable cargo (onions, potatoes etc) in LCL shipments. i.e won't be shortage for essentials
