Just started to document my journey towards a .NET profiler. For me, writing helps a lot to gain a much deeper understanding of what I am just doing. And if I forget about that topic I easily can refresh my knowledge.

I've published the third part of my series of articles about writing a .NET garbage collector in C#. In this one, we add a helper method to inspect the objects in memory, learning about thread modes and the DAC.

My new dotnet-fullgc CLI tool allows you to remotely trigger a garbage collection in .NET application.
Type the following to install it: dotnet tool install -g dotnet-fullgc.

How is this "peak performance"? Besides 'await', isn't everything else basically syntactic sugar?
Do you know that since early march this year you can now advice #PerfView not to truncate events when dumping them into the event view?
You can see the full request sent out with the #HttpClient after tracing the #DumpBuffer event using #dotnet-trace.

I did it. My first pull request in the #dotnet project. I feel great, though it was only a small documentation change.
