Alec Latimer: Need to deviate from guide and collect customer stories: "Stories also get us to see the world through our customers’ eyes. They get us out of our own heads. Stories show us things that mattered that we didn’t even realize were there." linkedin.com/feed/update/urn…
One reason most customer interviews kinda suck is that the interviewer goes into the customer conversation with a structured list of questions and his/her goal is essentially to go through that list of questions in 30 minutes & to diligently capture notes to share with the team.

I agree @shreyas. Alec Latimer (not on twitter I think but incredibly insightful) had published on this a few times on LI linkedin.com/feed/update/urn…

Exactly. 2.5 weeks in and still feeling crummy
Has anyone else had a horrible cough/virus that doesn’t seem to go? Not Covid, but producing horrible cough that seems to go and then comes back with a vengeance? It seems to be affecting several members of my family and friends atm

Agree. Will get interesting when ChatGPT studies the suggestions you choose and then gets better at personalizing suggestions based on your preferences
ChatGPT is great at proofreading and for tasks like “Shorten this abstract to 400 words”. You can also ask it to extract key assertions to doublecheck that it hasn’t left anything important out. Also “Suggest 3 titles for a scientific paper with this abstract” can be helpful

This is a great thread of what it is like to be at @Twitter and having to decide whether to stay or leave. Good luck @peterclowes
Why I left @twitter or rather why I did not sign up for “extremely hardcore” Twitter 2.0 🧵
This is an incredible opportunity for a person with strong analytic chops and a passion for health policy. Incredible group - highly recommend.
We are looking to hire an RA interested in health policy with strong data management/ analytic skills. If that’s you, or anyone you know, please reach out. Come join a great team.
I so hope you are right. I am horrified at the prospect of AI making it harder for writers to make a living and in general eroding the beautifully analog craft.

Big picture, if you love writing, you have less to worry about with AI. 1) Your work will be distinct. 2) You find the process to be intrinsically rewarding. 3) AI tools can augment your craft. 4) You can still aim your writing at specific opportunities
Your tweets are high quality and valuable @larry_levitt. Thank you. I am cautiously optimistic about the future of contributors like you because I can't see a business case against it (fingers crossed)
My whole purpose in getting on Twitter was to provide facts and analysis about health policy issues and support evidence-based debates about those issues. I’m hoping that continues to be possible.

Great point. It is a slow process - but watch Edenbridge Health; experienced team making excellent progress bit.ly/3EoBX90
Someone remind me why we've never scaled up PACE? Still only 60k duals participating, despite persistent great outcomes even through the pandemic. What gives?

Interesting - but will ML translation tools reduce the relevance/impact of English speaking capability?
What happens when Indians become the majority of English speakers on the internet? It will happen over the next decade or so. And it'll change the world. This is a fun piece (not by me!) that extrapolates out what happens when the Empire Writes Back. samyakdixit.substack.com/p/i…
Agree - technology benefitting technologists (especially their wealth - far more than society. VCs/tech enthusiasts crowing about tech breakthroughs, airbrushing deleterious effects
“Not enough (tech) leaders seriously asking - does the innovation actually increase citizens' happiness?”

I think very few people have internalized the rapid spread of BA.5. ht @gripemaster
Anyone who thinks BA.5 is just another variant isn't paying attention >200,000 new cases yesterday. Vertical.

Agree @dandunlop. @Colin_Hung epitomizes helping others with no direct personal benefit. Always worth reading and listening to!

@Colin_Hung delivering the opening keynote on day two of #hitmc #hitmc22. Colin is one of the truly good people in our business. Note: everyone is sitting in the upper tier of the amphitheater. Of course!

Was deeply debating which of two books to buy today at a bookstore. Chose based on font type.
