Sheffield Wednesday Football Club can confirm that an agreement was reached last night for Dave Challinor to become the club's new First-Team Manager.
The 51-year-old will be in attendance at today's fixture against Blackpool at Hillsborough.
The club looks forward to formally introducing Dave to supporters on Monday, when further details of the appointment will be announced.
Level of delusion is wild.
🚨 Henrik Pedersen has spoken to Danish broadcaster TV2 over his #SWFC sacking.
He said: “I didn’t see it coming, I definitely thought there would be a longer string than losing 2 games after a strong, strong period. I was called in and then it was done. It was a short process.”

Sheffield Wednesday Football Club confirms that Henrik Pedersen has left the club with immediate effect.
Henrik led the first team through an exceptional period in the club's history, providing stability and leadership during a time of significant uncertainty and change.
The club would like to place on record its sincere thanks to Henrik for his contribution and wishes him every success in the future.
Sporting Director Simon Wilson said: “First and foremost, I want to thank Henrik for his professionalism, commitment and contribution during an exceptionally challenging period for Sheffield Wednesday.
“We knew the start of this season would be difficult due to the scale of change across the club, but our expectation was always that we would develop as the season progressed, establishing a recognisable style of play and greater consistency in our performances.
“Although we have accumulated points, we haven’t seen enough progress in those areas. We believe making a change now gives us the best opportunity to establish those foundations and build towards the second half of the season and beyond.
“We remain ambitious about what we can achieve this campaign, and our focus remains on building a Sheffield Wednesday team with a clear identity, capable of delivering sustained improvement and long-term success.”
Matt Hamshaw will take interim charge of the first team while the club undertakes the process of appointing its next Head Coach.
The club will provide further updates when appropriate.
He needs to be sacked whilst we still have these x2 games in hand #swfc

We got to the end of the South Stand bridge having won 7–2 and my dad and his mates were already talking about the two goals we’d conceded.
That’s what the past has done to us. We’ve been conditioned to expect the worst, search for the negative and protect ourselves from whatever comes next.
But 30,000 Wednesdayites turned up in League One today. We had 29 shots and tore a team to pieces.
Football doesn’t get much better than that. We’ve got to reset our state of mind, let the past go and learn to enjoy Wednesday again. Get on the 🍺 tonight and remember what it’s like to enjoy a Saturday evening.
We’re back.
