interpretability might be the most important scientific problem in the world right now, as I don't think we can solve alignment if we don't know what we're building. I think I have good news about it. I co-authored early work in mechanistic interpretability at OpenAI and came away pessimistic, because neural networks appeared to fold into arbitrary tangled knots. years later, I started openai's first large-scale automated interpretability project, finding about 2% of neurons legible with the primitive tools we had
with modern agentic tools and a much closer look, the picture looks totally different. the vast majority in models up to trillions of parameters are legible, and their circuits beautiful. many famous examples of tangled neurons turned out to be misunderstood. The roadblocks I expected mostly aren't there. I now think ambitious interpretability will be solved by the time we need it most, and possibly quite soon, as automated scientists keep improving. it may be a bitter lesson for interpretability: the simple thing, at absurd scale, works

Can an open-source model perform like a foundation model? @Osmosis_AI is betting yes, using reinforcement learning and the dedicated @ycombinator GPU cluster on Together AI to prove it.

I am going to share how I made this🤩
One night I was brainstorming what to do with Kimi K3's frontend abilities. I said I wanted a game, or a video, and bonus points if it had something to do with SGLang.
Then I got this: sglang.io/k3-game
100% made by K3. The game, the visuals, the edit. Zero human hands.
I have since died in every way imaginable lol
Huge thanks to my amazing team! Especially the game maker @unseenmars_
it's here. thanks @thsottiaux 🕹️

Stop replicating the full base model for every RL run. Super proud of what the team built here: we can now train thousands of LoRA policies around a single shared base, with 1,536 adapters running concurrently at sub-3-min step times 🚀

We recently added LoRA RL support for Qwen3.5 MoE models like Qwen3.5-122B.
The process involved merge conflicts, dependency issues, and a tricky race condition related to LoRA weight syncing.
We wrote up a post that goes into more detail and shares our work - link below!
People deploy Qwen on servers.
I deployed QWEN on my wall. 😆
Now it just watches me code! 👨💻

We've raised $7M to help companies build AI agents that actually learn and work.
@Osmosis_AI is a platform for companies to fine-tune models that outperform foundation models with reinforcement learning.
Better, faster, and cheaper.
