1/n I'm so very happy and excited that my main postdoc work is out now @Nature 😁 This was such a fun and rewarding project to work on - thanks Markus for letting me dive into the wonders of yeast and proteomics despite this being an almost 180° change from my PhD work.
Many will remember heavy debates in the yeast aneuploidy field. Are excess proteins dosage compensated, and if, how? Are there general signatures of aneuploidy? These problems solve studying natural strains. Time's back to study wild species, Biologists! nature.com/articles/s41586-0…

New preprint from the @haploteam! Here, we revisit the population structure somewhat. But the main objective is rather to have a resource for the community around 3,034 genomes, capturing ~93% of the genetic diversity of the S. cerevisiae species.
