A perfect disinformation ouroboros: the Kremlin originates a talking point, and the White House presents it as expert validation. Putin isn't an observer; he's the co-author of the very script Trump has been reading for years. This isn't a new revelation; it's a documented strategy. A Sept 4, 2020, DHS bulletin explicitly warned Russia was "amplifying" these exact mail-in fraud claims. Trump spent that year calling it a "disaster," directly mirroring the Kremlin's goal to "undermine public trust." The ultimate irony? The GOP began pushing mail-in voting in May 2024. An American president citing a KGB veteran as his star witness against American democracy. The feedback loop is complete.

Just voted in Belgian local elections. Easy to criticise this country, but not way it organises polls. - Voting compulsory, giving everyone a stake in democracy - Impeccably organised - Results immediately after booths close - Never any fraud - Nobody questions result.

Biggest surprises: - Austria gets migration, despite ECJ ruling - The Netherlands, a vocal frugal, gets taxation - Spain gets super portfolio, with clean/just transition and competition - Slovenia gets enlargement, despite political mess - Romania gets executive vice president
Here it is: the new Commission of Ursula von der Leyen.
