In America—and in the rest of the world—unless you are a special case, consent isn’t on the menu. There’s something to defend here, in this predator’s paradise, and, at long last, I would like that "something" to be the victims, not the predators. the-reframe.com/the-good-guy…

"When someone is gang-raped, there appears to be something to defend, and it’s not bodily autonomy; there appears to be something to protect, and it’s not the victim." Life in this predator's paradise and the problem of shameless people. the-reframe.com/the-good-guy…

They’re live-streaming the execution of the person they think they can get away with doing that to first. It’s a test. If they can do that, they’ll expand the margins of permission.

My unpopular take is that God actually *is* returning to judge sins, but it's more like American Idol where God is like "damn dawg, that was a really impressive sin, a little pitchy but I’m putting you through to the next round" while Simon Cowell looks over at him in disbelief.

"music has been solved," oh? dude, we were all trying to solve music, as a problem, the problem being those god damned musicians were so involved with it it limited our enjoyment, that well-known normal human struggle with music and you DID it? you're fuckin' cool, man
I am not joking when I say this. Spotify, Apple Music, and streaming in general is over. AI music is now very, very good. You just don't know yet because all AI music circulating today is from ~2-3 generations ago. Suno v6 pro et al has solved infinite personalized music.

For everyone who spent #MeToo fretting “what if this goes too far?”—be of good cheer! It turns out we didn’t go too far at all! It turns out we didn’t nearly far enough! Good job guys!

Hey, I’m just asking questions. Ignorant questions, bigoted questions, questions that have been repeatedly answered for many years. Sorry, but I’m not listening to answers right now; I’m far too busy asking questions. It’s called being intellectually curious.

To the contrary, I accept and affirm Kermit as Frog.

If you truly think this is a good question, you haven't spent even one second researching the position you've supposedly rejected.

To people who don’t believe that Kermit the Frog is real: What is the basis for your morality? Where does your moral standard come from?

If Kermit the Frog isn't real, answer this one simple question: How did we all get here? Checkmate, frognostics.

I wrote about the regrets of a Trump supporter whose fiancée was abducted by ICE, the ways these stories reinforce the exact spirit of supremacist exceptionalism that caused them in the first place, and the more honest stories we might tell instead. the-reframe.com/this-is-us/

"What I’ve noticed is how frequently “this isn’t us” is said, not as an aspiration to improve but as a denial of responsibility—another way of staying exceptional, another way of demanding first sympathy for a situation we have helped bring about." the-reframe.com/this-is-us/
