Trump got billions richer while sitting in the White House & not 1 Republican in Congress lifted a finger to stop it. They’re all cool w the grift as long as they get their cut & the base stays angry at the right people. You can’t even pretend this is about governing anymore. It’s a family business & you’re paying the bill.

OBAMA: I got criticized for tightening up enforcement at the border. But I don't recall anybody campaigning on sending masked agents running through our streets. Don't recall anybody talking about law abiding citizens being arrested, detained, or shot.

This whole “cities are bad!” shtick that rural conservatives do is just cope for their lack of opportunities and horrific drug problems. Nowadays crime has gone up so much in rural America that it now rivals crime in cities. Folks see this and assume cities must be even worse.
