Fair 1800 + Dark 2650 = 4450 Fair 2250 + Dark $2250 = 4500 If everyone agrees fair dolls sell more lets say for every 3 fair dolls they sell they sell 1 dark one just to give an example It’s a smarter business move = more profit period. So don’t use business as an excuse
Replying to @JussaStan
If you do business by selling half of your inventory at a loss to signal virtue, that's fine. At that point he's better of not selling dark colors at all.

Hence why is said I systematic problem that everyone saying doesn’t exist. It’s a practice across the board…accompanied with this mentality 👇🏾
Replying to @hajimeshinosgf
+ less people buy dolls with other skintones = less demand = higher price if you want it. I know some need to have enough orders on a special skintone doll in order to for the artist to actually make the dolls

Well no…balancing it across all tones so 2250 for would be more logical. And since everyone agrees black dolls sell less 😳 that’s more profit as they’d be making more of a profit off sell more fair toned dolls at a higher price leveling the market a bit
Replying to @JussaStan
If he charged $2650 for all skin colors, people would complain or wouldn't buy. He's literally passing savings onto the customer and you're complaining. This has nothing to do with racism, it's a doll. This is just an unfortunately truth about the cost of pigments

Sorry for speaking about MY experience 🥺 👉🏾👈🏾

And even in my original post I never said the artist should or shouldn’t be charging whatever price they set. I said specifically that it was CRAZY TO SEEE IT LAID OUT. As I was checking out I found it’s shocking that was my MAIN point
Nothing against this creator I love his work so much and have ordered a few dolls from him But it’s just so crazy to see the black tax in plain view like this. He said it’s harder to print the darker materials so it has higher fail rates so it cost more to produce

Nothing racist going on here. Just keep existing and ignoring

Quoting and blocking typical But as you can see in the post you quoted I said I WAS THINKING and in past tense before i was educated by many KIND individuals Idk why people on this app take opinions as personal attacks

Replies like this is why i said it’s a system of R—- because??????
This is literally a common practice bro any color that isn't white skin color is going to be more expensive. If you care about it that much you could always just dye it yourself.

I always acknowledge that my opinion is just my opinion and that I have been presented with more information and been educated on the process and thus my OPINION has changed. And I thank everyone for the education. Very excited to pay $850 dollars more for darker pigment 🥰

I do want to emphasize that it’s my opinion. About the system and not disputing the fact that certain factors play into darker pigments costing more. I was informed darker tones may have additional costs and was still willing to purchase. But seeing it laid out I paused…

I’m never one to argue with facts and when I’m presented with my information my opinion will change. I’m not stubborn or argumentative so I’m not really sure why the tone of the comments are attacking as if I personally called someone racist

The gag is I’m still gonna order one because I don’t think the creator is doing anything wrong. I just saw the difference in prices laid out and delayed my purchase because it’s wild TO ME. So see laid out like that 😭😭😭

See I was thinking they make the machines by default more compatible with lighter tones. I’m not an engineer but I’d think like they could fix that but I guess that’s not the case. Im thinking “make them work for lighter and they can figure the darker out on their own”😭

not OP but I'm guessing their ideal is scientists should strive to make leaps and improvements so that the manufacturing cost for darker skin tones not $500 higher than paler skin tone in the name of non-racism

Its not about the machine its about the pigment and resin, 10 years ago before 3d printers were mainstream artists had to cast bjds by hand which made darker dolls even more expensive bc there was even more margin for error. Darker pigments are just harder to work with

I appreciate everyone adding context and I can definitely understand how my post was misunderstood I apologize for any harm my words may have caused.
Just to add some further context to this, this is just a slight explanation as to why dark pigments are harder to work with. It really has nothing to do with colorism and everything to do with white pigment being incredibly dense.

This is absolutely not calling out the artist for any racism , or questioning the logistics of production darker pigments i personally just found it very jarring to see price differences laid out

The SYSTEM is racist to me Evidence: “normal” is the lightest color I ordered a Tiana in the darkest color available and this is what I’m being sent and was told “don’t worry tan is darker in person”
Replying to @JussaStan
Hey maybe you shouldn't be accusing someone of racism when they gave a clear and logical explanation? Especially when you have their store name/brand on display there. Food for thought. If you wanna actually call them out sure, but let's not accuse someone without proper evidence

this is legitimately just anti-black racism like what kind of frivolous distinction is this
There’s a sarcasm to Sabrina’s sound. It’s young and cheek and doesn’t take itself seriously. Chloe takes her sound seriously, she isn’t being sarcastic. So no, it’s not the same sound.

I’m starting to see all this hate coming from Beyhive is because all the jokes chlovers were making about Beyoncé sabotaging Chloe’s career. They didn’t know they were jokes(and some people were serious) and now it’s just this constant hate coming from them
