there is no Fable 5.5 release announcement yet, but we did get something else.
@AnthropicAI just launched Claude Duet in research preview. It is a direct competitor to Grok Bot and others.
Here is what it does:
- It wakes you up with a quick brief on what actually matters across your connected apps, then stays quiet until something really needs your attention
- It runs on Opus 5.5, so it can tell the difference between "just handle it" and "ask me first" instead of pinging you for everything
- It never sees your passwords, it has a classifier that blocks sensitive info from leaking, and it still needs your approval before it sends, pays, or posts anything
- It picks up your existing Claude memory and connected tools, so you are not starting from scratch
- It keeps working in the background and only comes back when the draft or work is ready, or when it needs you to make a call
for now, only US and Pro Max users can join the waitlist.

Trending Story: Saudi Arabia has exe/cuted two Bangladeshi nationals, Nazrul Islam Abdul Basir and Siri Akhtar, following conviction of immoral sexual act inside a mosque in Mecca.
The “immoral act” was apparently a kiss on the forehead. They were newlyweds who decided to spend their honeymoon in Mecca.
According to reports in Bangladesh, Saudi authorities refused to consider they were a couple, and the forehead kiss was an expression of appreciation to Allah for a beautiful bride.
Their bodies have arrived in Bangladesh in two coffins for traditional burial rites.
