Just 48 hours ago, 2 HS girls spoke out about having to play against males without their consent (1 played 3 boys in 3 sports in 2 years!). Nirav MOCKS them.
In April, dozens of girls testified to voyeurism, masturbation, violence, mental trauma from being forced to share bathrooms, locker rooms and playing fields with males. Nirav GASLIT them.
He has publicly - and misogynistically - vowed to defeat our referendum that would simply give girls access to female-only private spaces & sports in school.
Why? Because he believes young girls in Maine do not deserve their intimate boundaries, nor their sex-based federal civil rights (Title IX) to be protected. Embarassing.
He has joined his extremist friends who call the experience of these girls "manufactured" and "invented". He thinks it's not happening, but also it SHOULD be happening.
He has advocated for the MPA's current policies - which are sexist, regressive, illiberal and discriminatory - to continue.
Nirav, an aging male, believes young Maine schoolgirls do not deserve bathrooms, locker rooms, nor sports teams free of males in school. This is textbook misogyny, and it's frankly disgusting.
He is a threat to the safety and security of women and girls across Maine. And he is far out of touch with the people of Maine, the Democratic voting base, and the American public at large.
Just last night, 4 states (2 of them MUCH deeper blue than Maine), passed the same referendum we aim to pass in 2027... harmonizing state law with Federal Title IX to ensure school sports are single sex (male, female or co-ed).
Nirav won't protect Maine girls. He'll mock them.
But we will protect them. Our referendum was just re-submitted for the 2027 ballot. Policies in Maine will change, the question is simply how and when.
Either through our referendum next year, or from the crushing legal weight (and financial repercussions) of Title IX lawsuits against the MPA and individual districts... lawsuits that are sure to follow ADF's formal Title IX complaint filed Monday.
Misogyny has no place in Maine.

Democrats didn't win last night because America went socialist. They won because normal candidates ran on normal stuff in Texas, Ohio, North Carolina, Iowa, Kansas, Maine and South Carolina.
The one socialist on a statewide ballot, in Florida, got crushed.
Lesson SHOULD be simple. Lower costs, safe streets, build housing, back your allies = you win. Abolish this, defund that, chant about Israel = you win a deep blue district and nothing else.
The far left didn't build this majority…it just showed up to the party and is already trying to take credit.

The Associated Press has called both chambers of Congress for Democrats, with Senate flips in Kansas, Iowa, Texas, Ohio, Maine, North Carolina and South Carolina. Kansas, which per AP hasn't elected a Democratic senator in nearly a century, apparently got curious. AP says voters were fed up with high prices, so they hired the party whose answer to most costs is a bigger appropriation.
Bold. Congratulations, Democrats: you now own the grocery bill and the gas bill. Republicans, take notes. Losing Kansas takes genuine effort.
