Last week, we welcomed analysts and investors to the Kainantu Gold Mine for an in-depth look at the progress underway across our operations, expansions and exploration program.
The two-day visit gave attendees the opportunity to meet members of our team and see firsthand how Kainantu is advancing its next phase of growth.
Key takeaways included:
🔸 Q3 delivered record quarterly ore processed, ore mined, total material mined and mine development. Three mining fronts are now online, with the second and third fronts ramping up to support increased production.
🔸 Our new 1.2 Mtpa Stage 3 process plant is fully operational and demonstrating strong throughput and recovery performance, with the ability to exceed design parameters. Its modular design also provides a low-capex pathway to Stage 4 throughput of 1.8 Mtpa.
🔸 Major infrastructure upgrades are transforming the operation, including dedicated ore and waste passes, expanded power capacity, upgraded roads and river crossings, 60-tonne surface haulage and the advancing primary ventilation system.
🔸 The transition to pastefill is expected to enable larger, more productive stopes while improving mining flexibility, dilution and ore recovery.
🔸 Exploration continues across our 836.8 km² land package, with active programs advancing Kora, Judd, Arakompa, Maniape, Wera and other high-priority targets.
Together, these developments are supporting the Stage 3 ramp-up, advancing the Stage 4 Expansion and strengthening Kainantu’s long-term growth potential.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and to the K92 team members who shared their expertise and brought the Kainantu story to life.

K92 Mining announces strong Q3 2026 production of 49,776 oz AuEq, its second-highest quarterly result, alongside multiple operational records.
During the quarter, Kainantu also surpassed one million oz AuEq produced since commercial production began in February 2018. This significant milestone reflects K92’s growth through exploration success, multiple phases of expansion and strong operational and project execution.
Q3 2026 highlights:
🔸 Production of 49,776 oz AuEq, comprising 46,063 oz gold, 1,948,951 lbs copper and 55,746 oz silver
🔸 Record ore processed of 250,042 tonnes, up 82% YoY and 11% from Q2 2026
🔸 Record mine development of 3,486 metres, up 41% YoY, including a new monthly development record of 1,220 metres achieved in July
🔸 Record total material mined of 485,812 tonnes, up 37% YoY and 14% from Q2 2026
🔸 Record ore mined of 252,744 tonnes, up 66% YoY
🔸 Strong recoveries of 94.1% for gold and 94.9% for copper, exceeding Updated DFS recovery parameters. Gold recoveries exceeded the Updated DFS parameter for the 10th consecutive quarter
The new 1.2 Mtpa Stage 3 Expansion Process Plant continued to perform well, achieving record monthly throughput of 92,937 tonnes in September. Daily throughput reached 3,725 tonnes on September 19, 13% above the plant’s design capacity.
First stope ore from the third mining front was delivered in September, while five new 60-tonne surface trucks commenced operating during the quarter. The Baupa and Kokomo bridges and the Kasese river crossing are now complete, tripling payload capacity from 20 tonnes to 60 tonnes, with remaining haul-road upgrade works nearly complete.
Electrification of the Phase 4 Primary Ventilation Upgrade was also completed during Q3, with completion of commissioning targeted for the second half of October. The upgrade is expected to increase primary mine airflow capacity from approximately 350 m³/s to 600 m³/s.
As at September 30, 98% of Stage 3 Expansion growth capital had been spent or committed, with the expansion remaining on budget.
K92 reiterates its 2026 production guidance of 190,000 to 225,000 oz AuEq, with production expected to be strongest in Q4.
🗣️ “Looking ahead, Q4 is expected to deliver a further step forward as the second and third mining fronts continue to ramp up and key infrastructure projects are completed. Commissioning of the Phase 4 Primary Ventilation Upgrade, completion of the remaining haul road ancillary upgrades and continued deployment of the new 60-tonne surface trucks are expected to increase material movement capacity and improve operating flexibility. Together with a planned higher-grade stoping sequence and the continued strong performance of the Stage 3 process plant, these improvements position us for our strongest production quarter of the year and reinforce our confidence in achieving full-year guidance.”
