Kirstie Adamson: Magazine collage artworks, using the colours & textures found in old magazines, no paint. Artworks have an environmental core message & interpreted in intricate layers of paper, often mistaken for oil paintings.

I absolutely loved creating the animation for this (about 1 min in) Beautiful lullaby written by John Tams and performed by Narthern, I feel very lucky to have had the opportunity to work with them. Please do give Drystone a follow, non for profit supporting the arts
We’re very excited to let you see ‘Fishees’, written by John Tams. It’s part of Little Stones, a collection of songs and dances celebrating childhood, featuring artwork and animation by renowned Derbyshire artist @KAdamsonArtist and music by Narthen.

We’ve had some fantastic applications to the Mick Peat Drystone Bursary, and now have the difficult task of choosing who to give the award to! We’ll reveal the lucky applicant on The Mick Peat Stage at @DerbyFolk on October 2nd. Hope to see you there!

@hannahlobley & @KAdamsonArtist
'By Royal Decree' is based on the idea that nature's royals have issued a decree to humans to address climate change & reverse damage. It consists of eleven paper-mache dolls of insects/animals.
