all the replies under this thread (nag priv ata si op so i’m rqing here) about shuvee being “prioritized” miss the bigger picture. both fifis are obviously smart and talented, no doubt about that. but let’s be clear, shuvee had already been doing hosting gigs and honing her craft long before pbb. what pbb did was simply put a spotlight on the personality and story she already carried with her. discrediting her now just because she’s visible is truly unfair. her talent and passion have always been there. redirect your concerns, it’s not on her that she gets handpicked by fellow artists nor that brands trust her for her authenticity, relatability, and relevance. she’s thriving because trinabaho niya not because anything was handed on a silver platter. i have so much respect for how she took on the challenge of telling her own truth. there’s nothing more authentic than showing people who you are through the lens of your own pain and triumphs. at the same time, having to revisit the pain and struggles you’ve once survived is no small feat. i’m beyond eager to know the shuvee shaped by that island.
