Putting feelings to the side, I do think it would be a wise business decision to move off a soon-to-be 30 year old RB with that contract… BUT! Keeping Saquon tells me that the team believes they will be back to contending next year, which I am not sure we all thought would be the case given how this current season is trending + the uncertainty in some positions.

Obviously nothing is a guarantee but they’ve been pretty damn good at limiting the “down” years to one season. Howie rebuilds on the fly.
