Bias tends to kick in
The fact that these co with long USD exposure never thought of hedging (or lack thereof) baffles us. A forward sell when the pair was at 4.75 level would have saved them 4000pips already.
Your guess is as good as mine bro. But I think anything below 4.20 is going to be very painful for people, companies, etc.
There was a last min concall by Notion on Thursday. CEO wanted to be transparent about how badly MYR strength is hitting the Co. I understand he even provided scenarios where if USDMYR falls below a certain level, the Co goes into losses. 2 quarters of solid earnings recovery + growth gone down the drain. This is merely one eg. Many others are facing similar complexities.
