Every RWA token standard answers who may hold the asset and how it transfers.
None of them answer what the holder is owed when the issuer fails.
That is not a legal problem mistaken for a technical one. It is a design gap.

The DTCC Tokenization Service is live on @CantonNetwork.
Today’s launch caps a path that started with a December 2025 No-Action Letter from the SEC, authorizing DTC to tokenize Russell 1000 constituents, major-index ETFs, and U.S. Treasuries.
In July, more than 30 TradFi and digital-asset firms validated the service on Canton, setting up today’s full production launch.
DTC is now minting tokenized representations of those securities, with 21 DTC Participants live at launch, including Citadel Securities, J.P. Morgan Securities, Morgan Stanley, State Street, UBS, and Vanguard. It’s a foundational step in bringing capital markets and the broader financial ecosystem onchain on Canton Network.
