2015 Yamaha V-Star 650.
Valve adjustment and valve cover gasket replacement to stop oil leaks.
Turns out the valve spacing is the same as oil head BMW'S. Interesting.
0.10mm on intake

And yes, you do need to remove the carbs, to remove the fake covers.
In the continuing saga of the "Top Gun" bike:
Cust: bike overheating and steam is coming from under the carbs..
KP: *confused* Where? We'll have to take a look.
Also KP: Oh yah. These old bikes route cooling tubes at the carbs. We'll change the o-rings there at the head.
2018 Piaggio MP3 500ie.
Battery went dead and couldn't pop the seat because it uses electric release and the emergency cable is broke.
We jumped power at the secondary fuse box, got enough power in it to pop the seat and now we're charging the battery.
No crow bars used.
2018 Kawasaki mule diesel.
Every once in a while, the universe throws us a curve ball where we think we got the tools to fix things, but the tools aren't good enough.
70ft lbs is the torque for the right pulley.
Our 200ft lb gun didn't work.
Got a 1000ft lb gun. Worked.
Our favorite MAVERICK customer decided to up his Top Gun game and get a replica Kawasaki GPZ900R like in the movie.
We gave it "the once over", it's good, then showed him how to start this old bike.
Him: I push the button and it just cranks
KP: Set the choke
Him: Ah-Ha!
Dropped Yamaha R6 and R1's:
They get dropped in a slow crash and the wheel alignment becomes askew to the hand grips.
Fix: Loosen the upper triple tree AND the handle bars clamped to the top of the fork.
Then straighten like your old bmx bike. Tighten back up and done.
Pro tip:
When changing the starter motor on a '69 harley (pan head) and the clutch lever over the motor won't come off, remove the primary cover and adjust the clutch super loose to get the clutch lever clear of the starter motor.
So glad they got rid of this design later.

2015 Yamaha R1:
Customer stats; sat for 1 year, wouldn't start, threw a ton of parts at it, took it to 2 shops still wont start.
KP: The engine is rotating very slow.
*hours of investigation later*
KP: The timing chain tensioner is bad. Get a new one.
