The 49ers are coming off their bye and host the Raiders tomorrow.....Yet the game itself is seemingly the storyline with the least bit of interest.
It's all about Aiyuk and the upcoming trade deadline for SF.
Never a dull moment.
Really anxious to see which WR the 49ers trade for on Monday or Tuesday.
With the Christian Kirk injury I'd imagine Josh Downs is potentially who they'd want to target the most....But the possible upside of a 24-year old Brian Thomas Jr. intrigues me.
Is it possible for BA and the 49ers to agree to a restructured contract that allows the 49ers to get out of the deal without any dead cap, and without Aiyuk having to repay the $13 million?
That'd be a win-win for both sides.
Could see a scenario where the $13 million bonus forfeiture causes this to drag out beyond Tuesday and the 49ers continue to stick it to BA by denying his reinstatement. Then the team won't have to pay him anything this year.
The last-minute Aiyuk drama is the most 49ers thing ever.
Every offseason is full of drama. Now in-season this team is winning, no issues....then BOOM. Aiyuk drama. It's honestly pretty on-brand.
Everyone is freaking out about the cap ramifications from Aiyuk filing for reinstatement.
Firstly...There are more dominoes to fall. 49ers will try to recoup some of that signing bonus money.
Secondly, they've known this is a possibility. They've prepared for it.
Relax.

The traffic cases against Brandon Aiyuk remain open, according to the Santa Clara County database. A warrant was issued for Aiyuk's arrest in June. It stemmed from when Aiyuk sped by Levi's Stadium and posted video of it on YouTube
Would've thought we'd see some trade action today in the NFL with teams wanting to get new players out at practice on Wednesday for the game week preparation....
Crickets. Almost too quiet.
I keep seeing people balk at the asking price....Not sure why. That's right in his price range IMO. Talented player.

He ran for more yards in that on-foot police chase than he did during his time with the 49ers.
Smh.
A former #49ers draft pick is making headlines for the wrong reasons. Joe Williams was arrested in West Hollywood after allegedly fleeing from authorities.

He also thought they could be in on Quenton Nelson, and that wasn't the case.
Matt Maiocco believes the 49ers are done trading for big name players. He does see them going after a Keion White type of player on defense
Maiocco also said he thinks they will not trade for a WR since Mike Evans, Demarcus Robinson, Deebo Samuel, and De'Zhaun Stribling are all due back from injuries within the next month or so
Today would be a great day to make another big trade if you're John Lynch and the San Francisco 49ers.
