#ECA24 Early careers anatomy conference in Sunderland was so fab, thanks @ECAnatomists and @KhamuaniMunesh!
Our lovely Sheffield anatomy crew were repping the MTU! @BirksMD @georginab2610 et al here we are bollywood dancing, smashing karaoke and exploring the winter gardens
LOVED the talk about using broader more inclusive terms for sex & gender in pelvic anatomy education. Using assigned female/male at birth to describe sex (AFAB & AMAB), and male & female are bimodal with intersex instead of binary. Yaaas #LGBTQ #ECA24 @thealeximp @BooteLeia

Kicking off day 2 of #ECA24 is our first Keynote speaker, Dr Ourania Varsou (@OuraniaVarsou), discussing ‘How Can We Responsibly Utilise Generative AI to Transform Anatomy Education for Enhanced Learning and Streamlined Administration?’
A morning of AI - how can we use it to make our Anatomy education and resource management better, and use it ethically...
@OuraniaVarsou and Fanny Mozu-Simpson telling us cool stuff about being AI experts & building bots! The big message is always to critically review.

If you do anything today and can face it, I would watch this - especially before it is somehow banned or removed from channel 4 by the government: channel4.com/programmes/part…...
It's called Partygate and it's essentially a dramatised account of exactly how much contempt 1/
Particularly that first year of 2020 and the jan/feb of 21. It was horrible. I got trained in looking after respiratory HDU patients (despite only being 2-3 y graduated) as there were so many people coming in that critical care needed all the help they could get. 4/
I thought it was supposed to be a comedy when we sat down to watch it, but actually it made me feel very angry and made me cry. I worked through the pandemic like many of you who might see this, wore the masks and the visors, and watched people die of COVID on a regular basis. 3/

A reminder that Norway has a £1 trillion + wealth fund for ordinary people, built over years by taxing fossil fuel giants at 78%.
Last year Norway collected $89bn in tax from fossil fuel giants.
They then used the fund to pay people’s energy bills.
That’s the alternative way.
