I think people just read the hashtag and didn’t go much further. We live in hope that there is a way forward that gives every body the opportunity to OWN land.
Libraries! Book donations! Someone needs to start a version of the @dollyslibrary here in SA xitter.gq/booksbakesbio/status/9…

I’m referring to what is stated on their website, which states ‘all land’ but doesn’t reference payment, to your point.I agree with @TimModise that the final output will hopefully be a workable one for all.Personally, I believe ppl should be able to own land

So true. Again, SAns tend to react to headlines & hashtags rather than fully understanding/researching an issue. That being said,I don’t believe ppl have really read what the EFF is proposing & middle class families (of all races) would be hesitant to become tenants of the state

I’m concerned that the land expropriation debate is emotionally charged & is polarizing our nation. The Parly resolution requires this matter to be rationally engaged & importantly I urge that we not racially charge each other. Our destiny is common. ☝️🇿🇦
Have a read of DA policy here da.org.za/why-the-da/policie… and EFF’s is copied below. Nothing available on ANC website.

That seems to be the EFF position based on what is available on their website. However I believe there will be a middle ground at the end of the consultation.

I’m sorry you had to go through that! The roads are a very scary place to be. Glad you are ok!
Any other recommendations on books, blogs, opinion pieces that we should be reading? Objective is to read all with an open mind.
I have also been referred to Plaas (Institute for Poverty, Land and Agrarian Studies) plaas.org.za/
There’s nothing readily or easily accessible on @ANCParliament website at the moment
Ok so I’m trying to learn more about #LandExpropriation and started with @ANCParliament @EFFSouthAfrica and @Our_DA links to DA’s extensive document here da.org.za/why-the-da/policie… and EFF here effonline.org/on-land
