We have paper ballots statewide, per KY law. We test every scanner for accuracy before every election and conduct an audit after every election.
After hearing of voting difficulties in other states, here’s my question. We have paper votes in Jefferson County, Kentucky. How do I know the machines read them correctly after we feed them in? @KYSecState
Today through Friday, and next Monday through Wednesday, in-person absentee voting is open at your county clerk's office. This is available for voters who cannot vote Oct. 29-31 or Nov. 3. Find your location and hours at govote.ky.gov.
Midnight tonight is the deadline to request an absentee ballot at govote.ky.gov.
This week @RockyForKy made his contribution to our Bourbon Barrel Time Capsule, with a signed copy of major economic development legislation.
"'The vast majority of our poll workers are people who do it every single election,' Adams said. 'They love it, and whenever I go around the state Election Day, poll workers are always in a great mood. They’re very comfortable. They’re very relaxed.'"
Glad to be (somewhat) back in the game

Grateful to the General Assembly for enacting this law and entrusting me to implement it.
Everyone deserves to feel safe in their own home. This Domestic Violence Awareness Month, we recognize survivors and the advocates who help Kentucky families find safety and support.
Sen. Julie Raque Adams sponsored the Safe at Home Act in 2023, expanding address confidentiality protections to help survivors keep their home addresses private as they rebuild their lives after abuse.
