Slot is such an important concept in throwing athletes. For QBs, a level slot is typically around 90-110 degrees of shoulder abduction. Both low and high slots can be problematic by placing unnecessary stress on the arm and resulting in less control over the release. When a QB has a slot issue I look globally at the entire kinetic chain. Typically slot, is a “result of” rather than the primary issue. My progression of coaching is to find the deficiency, isolate and improve, and then piece back together the motion.

We’ve never acted like we had it all figured out. What we do know is our intent. For years, the 208 has been missing consistent coaching and people who actually care. That’s what we’ve been building. CONSISTENCY and real relationships. #TheVillage #KaizenQB

Pay close attention over the next 4 years. Starting in 2027. We will have a minimum of a 3 Saturday QBs in every class moving forward. I see the future and it’s bright.

Parents, your son's head coach gets calls from college coaches during the season When that call comes, the college coach is not asking about stats He is asking what kind of kid your son is. How he handles adversity. Whether the team respects him. If he shows up every day or just on game nights. That phone call can open a door or close one
