Kathy Bates says she was sure she never thanked her mother in her Misery Oscar speech, then the interviewer showed her the tape
"She gave up her retirement because I was born so late in life to them."
"When I won the Oscar for Misery, she said, I don't know what all the excitement about, you didn't discover the cure for cancer."
"Why did I think I didn't thank her?"
"Because she should have had my life."
"I wanted her spirit to come into me and enjoy everything I was enjoying because of what she'd given up."
Her mom's whole review of the Oscar was that she didn't cure cancer, and Kathy still believed she had shorted her that night. Then she watches herself thank her mom at home, right there in the speech. Some people never stop trying to pay their parents back. You can hear it in how quiet she gets at the end.

わたしが2月の選挙で感じた問題は彼女の圧倒的な知名度の低さです。当時はフォロワーが約17万人で、選挙以降何度も彼女へのフォローを呼びかけ今は23万人にまで増やすことができました。それでもまだまだ極右政治家からは大変な差をつけられており、支持率も大きな変化を見せることができていません😭

米国による国際刑事裁判所（ICC）への制裁は、「遺憾であり、日本政府は制裁措置に反対であり、撤回を求める」と表明をすべきでは、というシンプルな質問。
茂木外務大臣の長〜い答弁、しかし「遺憾」「反対」「撤回を」という言葉は一つも口にしなかった。
米国にどう伝えるかは、この際、置いておいたとしても、国際社会に対して日本政府が表明すべきと、求めたら
「表明すれば、相手に伝わる」と答弁。
米国に言わないだけでない、伝わることも恐れているという、本音が垣間見えた瞬間ですね。
しかも米国に直接関わる質問は、官僚に答弁を促した。
「法の支配」を強化すると言いながら、「法の支配」を壊そうとしているものを批判しない。
アメリカ言いなり、という言葉を私は質問では使っていないが、その矛盾がはっきりと見えてくる。
