Customer service has been dealt another blow with the advent of AI bots. Especially when it was good and the bots just killed it. Again dealing with @getpantheon and the backlash of the death of their great customer service chat.

SERIOUSLY!! I've been going through domain & dns HELLL this week with @getpantheon !!! What a freaking nightmare! three sites up and down! Supposedly have 24/7 chat support but it is non existent! four days of back and forth EMAIL! to resolve a problem!

Oh I am soooo disappointed 🤬 in @getpantheon . One of the best features was the immediate live help. It helped with continuous conversation to solve an immediate issue. Now I have to fill out a form and wait for a reply and then I reply and they take their time getting back to me and now a conversation that would take minutes takes days. This makes no sense. AND what you get is canned responses not relevant to your issue. This change coupled with the dashboard downtimes SEVERAL TIMES A DAY has made working with them less than ideal after so many years of successful hosting. So disappointing... 🤬

Did a multi-app project to close out our TeamWork account (switching to Jira) (while doing my dialysis, lol) @teamwork - exported mysql file of all content @claudeai - setup database for searches and csv exports @Jira & Rovo - to coach the import and review & assess the data @googlesheets - for searchable & accessible data Imported all open tasks from TW to new project in Jira Many steps for each partner, but got it done. It's pretty cool. Still some clean up to do, but all the data is there

I'm taken aback that in @Replit , with the great ai agents at my fingertips, I still need to go to X for @ReplitSupport (they are great, btw, just a little wait). Or how to use the features - without having to go watch hours of YouTube presentations. I'm looking for Knowledge base, FAQ, bot, or something that will give me basic info - like do unused credit roll over, how long can I keep them, or if I downgrade with credits, do I lose them? Don't get me wrong, I love Replit, but sometimes feel it is moving too fast and furious and leaving details out...

The real pivot question, and it's sharper than "which tool do I use." It's: at what point does replicating CMS functionality piece-by-piece cost more (in dev hours, in ongoing maintenance, in app-as-single-point-of-failure risk) than just adopting a system that already solved it? Or is there a configurable combination...

Building AI created websites & the full stack of considerations for anything beyond a static site: 1. Design -the part vibe-coding is genuinely great at 2. Build - also where vibe-coding shines, speed-wise 3. Content & content management - the part that seemed simple but forks into real architecture decisions (headless CMS vs. traditional CMS vs. doc-based vs. custom admin panel) 4. User management - auth, accounts, permissions logic 5. User roles - who can do what (editor vs. admin vs. member), separate from just "who can log in" 6. Media management - upload, storage, optimization, library/reuse, accessibility (alt text) 7. Dev maintenance - ongoing, regardless of stack 8. (Not even touched: e-commerce, which stacks its own complexity — inventory, payments, tax, fulfillment — on top of all of the above) The insight underneath all of this: **vibe-coding solves 1 and 2 fast. Items 3–6 are what "CMS" has always actually meant**, and they don't get faster just because the frontend got faster. @Replit

Vibe coding websites is fast and very easy now. But building is one thing. I have not seen the issue of content management addressed. Especially if the site is for a non-technical person who wants to manage the site, or regularly add blog posts, page templates for instance. In this case it's a regular cms the answer? Drupal, WordPress, Square etc? What say you @MannyBernabe @raymmar @Replit

Honestly, I feel more comfortable typing that speaking to the AIs. I figure out what I'm wanting to "say" and backspace, delete, pause, think as i type all without getting interrupted by the AI when it thinks I am ready for an answer. Also, typing helps me clarify my ideas as I type. Sometimes I come up with the solution I need WHILE I'm typing and don't need help after all...

I found this article very enlightening. Great breakdown to explain to co-workers who may not totally get rules and restriction about random use of AI at work. kenhuangus.substack.com/p/th…
