It's Q4 and I'm not ashamed to admit that I haven't landed a job all year.
I've done freelance gigs, one-off content roles and short-term projects, but we're in Q4, and I want something more permanent before the year ends.
So I'm changing how I job hunt.
My mantra has always been "to be the force behind the next big thing", so instead of just telling projects to hire me, I want to show them exactly how I can be that force.
From today, I'm making my job hunt public.
Every day until I land my next role, I'll pick a fintech, AI, Web3, DeFi or infrastructure project, research what they're building, identify an opportunity where I can contribute, create something useful around it, and pitch it directly to the team.
I'll be documenting the entire process here from the research, the opportunities I find, the work I create, the pitches I send, and hopefully, eventually, the job I land.
In case you don't know me, I'm Keenye The Unusual, an in-house writer, researcher and content strategist with 3+ years of experience across Web3, with a focus on technical/product communication, research-backed content and turning complex ideas into clear communication.
For the next 30+ days, if you see any of my outreach posts, kindly:
→ Like and repost them
→ Tag the founder/team when relevant
→ If you know someone I should speak to, connect us
→ And if you've worked with the project before, share any useful context.
I'm not just looking for a job for the sake of it, I'm looking for an opportunity to help build something great in this space.
Let's see how this goes.

I'll be going with my love @Chioma__Amadi.
await my reviewssss. I'm so excited.

I'm trying to land an in-house content role before the end of Q4, so I decided to take my job hunt public.
Here's how I'm doing it:
I research a company, identify a communication opportunity, create something useful, and pitch it to the team.
For Day 2, I've done that for @atumhq
First, a little about Atum.
Atum is building an open payments network for global money movement.
One thing that stood out to me is how clearly Atum defines what it is and what it isn't.
Atum is not a blockchain, a stablecoin or a settlement layer. It is a coordination layer for money movement with a 5-step payment flow: request, accept, select, deliver, confirm.
Atum launched recently, and for an early stage project, its documentation already establishes a strong technical foundation and a distinct identity.
I'm not proposing that Atum simply publishes more content, I want to help translate that technical foundation into a reusable education and communication system.
Think:
- X threads and articles that make Atum's architecture easier to understand.
- Explainers that help developers understand the payment flow and what they can build with it.
- Research-backed articles and ecosystem communications that translate technical developments into meaningful stories.
The goal isn't to dilute Atum's technical language. It's to help more people understand it without losing what makes the product different.
I also noticed @PeteCooling's statement about harnessing your imagination if you want to work at Atum and it resonated with me.
As a researcher, writer and content strategist, I'm constantly asking:
How can I explain this more clearly? How can I make a technical concept easier to understand, remember and use?
That's the kind of thinking I'd bring to Atum.
Here's my proposal:
I'd love to start with a small content pilot based on Atum's existing documentation. E.g one technical explainer and one X thread demonstrating how I'd approach product education.
You can evaluate the quality of my work and how I think before deciding whether there's an opportunity for a long term collaboration.
I've spent over three years working across Web3 research, technical communication and content strategy. Now, I'm looking for a team where I can put that experience to work.
@PeteCooling, @atumhq I'd love to discuss this with you.

what’s that one thing you use AI for all the time?
research? motion design? video editing? writing?
for me it's research and when I open Claude or ChatGPT, I have to write a detailed prompt with context, instructions, preferences, examples, etc.
I had to do this every single time, for every single research task.
then I started learning about how to use AI better and I stumbled on the concept of workflows.
I realised that even the project I created on Claude named "Web3 research" is not a workflow.
you've only created a workflow when you've built a system that repeats itself anytime you feed it a task.
building a workflow means that I can say "research on Avalanche" and the model knows the questions to ask, the type of answer I'm looking for, where to look and how to structure the final output without me describing what I want everytime.
I have built 3 workflows for 3 different tasks in this month and here's how I did it.
you don't need a crazy automation setup to a workflow. you can just follow 5 steps.
1. Pick that ONE task you repeat.
e.g research for bounties.
2. Write down how you currently do it.
e.g I usually research the problem, target audience, infrastructure, etc.
this becomes your process.
3. Turn the process into instructions.
tell AI
“whenever I give you X, do A → B → C → D.”
add your rules, preferences, source requirements, output format, examples, etc.
4. Give the workflow a clear input and output.
for example:
input: research this project.
process: find primary sources → extract evidence → verify claims → organize findings.
output: a structured research pack.
now you've got something repeatable.
5. Test it. Break it. Fix it.
run the workflow on a real task to see where the AI gets confused, skips steps or gives you rubbish and update the instructions.
turn it into a reusable prompt, custom GPT/project, skill, structured workflow, or eventually an actual automation.
and that's it.
if you're doing the same thing every day and giving AI the same instructions every day, you might not need another prompt.
you might need a workflow.

stop scrolling the TL to find bounties.
i built a bot that hunts bounties and hackathons for you
it finds them, breaks down the prizes, tells you where to post and submit, how winners actually win
and checks if the sponsor is legit before you waste a week

And with that, the Monica Money Story Challenges has come to an end, and I made it to Community Favorite Creator of the Week! 🥹💚
If you’ve enjoyed my Monica content, I’d really appreciate your vote. 🫶🏽
But beyond my nomination, I have to give @Monicanigeria X @blockfestafrica their flowers.
I think they executed this creator challenge really well.
Instead of the usual “create content, top 3 win” campaign, they built an actual 4-week journey:
Discovery → Money Story → Influence → Conversation.
Each stage had a clear goal.
getting us curious, telling our stories, creating conversations, and ultimately driving people to action.
That’s what stood out to me: they didn’t just ask creators to make content.
They actually built a journey for us to take people through.
And Monica itself? It’s way more than crypto to naira.
You can send money, pay bills, buy airtime, use the card, and actually use your money in everyday life.
So yes, vote for me as Community Favorite Creator of the Week. 🥹💚
blockfestafrica.com/campaign…
𝐈𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐲𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚 𝐜𝐚𝐧’𝐭 𝐝𝐨??
That’s what a @Monicanigeria user asked HQ.
✓ Receive crypto
✓ Pay anyone in naira.
✓ Buy airtime and data.
✓ Pay bills
✓ Spend globally with a Visa card.
Making money is hard enough. Why should using it be harder?

in tech, being ahead today doesn't guarantee you'll still matter tomorrow.
AI is moving fast, and simply having an AI product is no longer enough.
the real question is: can you keep up?
well, @crynuxio has more planned than what you see today
and its roadmap might be the reason to start paying attention now

Hi, I am Keenye The Unusual
I am an In-house Writer, Researcher and Content strategist.
I help projects explain the technical aspects of their products in a way that builds community, trust and revenue.
Without me, projects remain incapable of communicating their architecture in a way that is easy and can be remembered.
I spend my free time watching movies, shows, ideating or trying to be productive.

3 things I look at before I trust a number on an on-chain dashboard.
➠ Where did it come from?
Is the volume coming from the chain, or is the protocol reporting it?
➠ What was happening when the number moved?
A spike during an incentive campaign tells me something different from a spike with no obvious reason behind it.
➠ And can I trace it back to the source?
The contract, the transaction, the event, the dataset.
If I can't find where a number came from, I'm not in a hurry to use it.

This myth that “MONEY CAN’T BUY HAPPINESS” really needs to stop.
And it has even affected how we handle money.
if money can’t buy happiness, why does not having it cause so much stress?
@monicanigeria makes accessing your money easier, so you can spend less time stressing over it and be happier
