🚨🇮🇱 BREAKING:
Israel's election has produced a HUNG KNESSET, and neither Netanyahu nor Eisenkot can govern alone.
With 100% of regular ballots counted, Netanyahu's bloc stands at 53 seats, while Eisenkot's opposition bloc has 48, both short of the 61 needed for a majority.
The Arab parties now hold a potentially decisive 19 seats: the Joint List with 12 and Ra'am with 7.
One major piece remains: roughly 600,000 double-envelope ballots still need to be counted, with final results expected tomorrow.
For now, neither Netanyahu nor Eisenkot has a majority, putting the Arab parties at the center of the battle to form Israel's next government.

Kenyan cabin crew members David Kimotho and John Muchina have been honoured by the UAE for their bravery during a mid-air emergency aboard Flydubai Flight FZ1073 on September 30, 2026.
The two helped attend to the injured captain and maintain order among passengers after the co-pilot allegedly attacked the captain. The aircraft later made an emergency landing in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia.
The UAE honoured the Flydubai crew with the First Class Order of Zayed II, recognising their courage and professionalism during the incident. The medals were presented by Dubai Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

🇮🇱 Netanyahu's bloc is now projected to win 54 seats in Israel's parliamentary election, down from an earlier projection of 56, as vote counting reaches 72.54%.
The latest projections show the opposition's change bloc holding steady at 48 seats, while Arab parties have climbed to a combined 18.
Netanyahu's Likud remains the largest individual party with 27 projected seats, followed by Gadi Eisenkot's Yashar party with 21.
The updated projections mark another shift from the earlier figures, when Netanyahu's bloc was projected to win 56 seats and Arab parties were projected to secure 16.
More than 3.75 million valid votes from 8,702 polling stations have now been counted.
With neither major bloc securing the 61 seats needed for a majority, the growing representation of Arab parties could make them increasingly important in determining who forms Israel's next government.

From October 20 to 22, the United States convened military planners from the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Rwanda @Marshall_Center in Garmisch, Germany, for the Joint Security Coordination Mechanism (JSCM) Operations Order Conference. The African Union, Qatar, and U.S. interagency partners joined the delegations as they addressed the security obligations at the core of the Washington Accords for Peace and Prosperity. Thanks to @USAfricaCommand and @AfricaACSS for helping guide the participants towards a successful outcome.
The delegations followed through on a commitment they made at the sixth JSCM meeting in August, working to finalize a draft Operations Order for approval. The order will guide the neutralization of the FDLR by the DRC and the disengagement of forces and lifting of defensive measures by Rwanda. We welcome their constructive engagement as they work toward achieving lasting peace and shared prosperity under the Washington Accords.
