"If we didn't suffer, we wouldn't be ourselves."
For @vittleslondon I wrote about Atleti's departure from the Vicente Calderón, through the medium of gallinejas and entresijos (fried lambs intestines), a very special and uniquely madrileño dish

.@icevolcanoes you have the opportunity to do the funniest thing of all time in three days time
Idk, are conversations like this really necessary? Feels weird seeing publications switch from "footballer mental health is important, online abuse is a real thing they deal with" to publishing articles saying "look at these guys, they're the worst ever"
Neymar and Antony were expensive mistakes for their last clubs — but who else fits into the “worst-ever” bracket?
■ £350,000-a-week #MUFC flop
■ £20m signing who thought he’d be “one of best in league”
■ Defender who couldn’t head the ball
Who knows, the season will likely end up with nothing to show for but it's been years since I've been able to come out with a "hay liga" while talking about my team so I'm gonna enjoy this
There are probably earlier examples as well but Portugal's coach in 1966 was Brazilian, and there have been many more since (the Euro 2004 final involved two foreign coaches too!) The idea that it is what "international football is about" is demonstrably not true

They also sell other things like boiled sweets, dried fruit, nuts, and olives. Some people ask for the olive brine to be poured on their crisps when they order it - but it's not always possible. I remember being told that "my crisps are too good for you to do this" one time
Ah, and for those curious about the shop I mentioned that's only open on Fridays and sells mainly eggs - here we go

Once again asking arsenal fans (especially after his saves yesterday) to make a chant for David Raya to the tune of Rachid Taha's 'Ya Rayah'

Goals are just so much more enjoyable when your goalscorer is Uruguayan. I don't make the rules, but it is what it is
