yes, a fresh start is what is needed here to provide reassurance to our community that Alive hospice will remain a nonprofit!
TODAY'S PRESS CONFERENCE: Former @AliveHospice Board Chair Frances Edwards and others expressed concerns over the nonprofit's future while the current Board leadership is in place. They fear Alive could still be sold to a for-profit organization at some future point.

Mission, not money. Patients, not profits. Care, not cutting time at the bedside. Our community needs @AliveHospice to remain a nonprofit organization. That’s what donors want, too. #KeepAliveAlive

Alive Hospice provided wonderful care to my grandmother and our entire family during her final days. Having them go for-profit would be a huge mistake. Their focus should be directed to our community and it's needs, and not to potential shareholder profits.

Such a beautiful and comforting story about end of life. I’ve been blessed to be a listener at the end of life for family and friends. I hope the @AliveHospice board does the right thing - the loving thing - and keeps the grace of dying a sacred and not corporate act. Don’t sale

@AliveHospice should remain a non-profit available for everyone. All dying people deserve dignified care, and that dignity should not cost survivors their savings (if they have any).
