What would happen if this footage would be of Israel's police and not French police??? There would be an urgent UN Security Council meeting tomorrow morning.

The West Bank was under Jordanian rule from 1948 to 1967. Its Arab residents were Jordanian citizens with parliamentary representation. No independent Palestinian state was created during those 19 years, and that history is routinely ignored. So is the broader pattern of Arab supremacism across the Middle East and the long record of antisemitism that drove the flight and expulsion of roughly 800,000 Jews from Arab countries in the Middle East and North Africa. If Arabs do not have a state today, it is the direct result of their own decisions and behaviors since 1947. Israel does not owe them anything. Israel was founded in 1948 in large part by Jews expelled or driven from their homes in the Middle East, North Africa, and Europe. It has succeeded economically, technologically, and in national security, while Arab nationalism largely failed to deliver comparable prosperity. That success does not make Israel an apartheid state. Calling Israel an apartheid state when nearly 20% of its population consists of Muslim Arabs with citizenship and political rights, while no Arab country offers even basic inclusiveness to Jews, simply repeats Islamic Republic narratives. It exposes regime agents within the Western academy.
Little is comparable in the two situations. Turkey has helped establish a democratic republic in Northern Cyprus run by the local population. Israel refuses to give any rights to the population of occupied territories and runs apartheid policies there

The genocide accusation requires proof of special intent. If Israel intended to destroy Palestinians as such why has it left Ramallah untouched and >98% of Gazan civilians alive after years of war vs Hamas? Invoking that genocide can mean "in part" does not answer the question.

Silent footage from @AP in 1956 just after Israeli forces drove Egypt out. Captions says: "Refugee camps near GAZA, where the Egyptian kept the Palestinian refugees in primitive dwellings, not permitting them to go to Egypt or mingle with their countryfolk. Fed and clothed thanks to the International Organization for the refugees, the Egyptians used these people as political hostages. While Cairo affirmed that Gaza territory sheltered 300.000 Arab refugees, right after occupation they were numbered at 200.000. In front of their huts decorated with white flags, they warmly receive the Israeli soldiers, saying that the Egyptians were very haughty towards and did not treat them well."

The most effective weapon against Israel has been redefining words until self-defense becomes the crime. “Genocide” once meant the deliberate attempt to destroy a people. Hamas wrote that goal into its charter, yet the army fighting it is the one called genocidal. “Apartheid,” “colonialism,” “occupation”—same method. Change the meaning and repeat the new one so many times it becomes gospel. The only real "offense" to those fighting linguistic warfare is the very existence of the world's only Jewish state.

How on earth can Britain's National Security Adviser be appointed before completing security vetting? Jonathan Powell is advising the Prime Minister on some of the most sensitive national security matters imaginable. Yet his appointment reportedly came before the necessary vetting. First the Peter Mandelson scandal. Now serious questions over Jonathan Powell. How many more failures in Labour's vetting process are going to emerge? National security should never be an afterthought.
🚨 National Security Advisor Jonathan Powell WAS NOT VETTED before getting the job - Telegraph. What on earth is going on in our country?

This is the scandal that just keeps giving. It has emerged that national security adviser Jonathan Powell, who sits at the centre of Britain’s most sensitive intelligence and diplomatic secrets, and who happens to be married to a Gaza fanatic who has defended Hamas, was not vetted by security before he was handed the job. The source is Morgan McSweeney, Keir Starmer’s former chief of staff, in evidence to Parliament about Peter Mandelson that came to light this week. “We made a political appointment for National Security Adviser, in Jonathan Powell,” he remarked, offhand. “As far as I remember, we appointed him and then we began the DV.” DV stands for developed vetting, the highest routine level of security clearance. Any clearance Powell held from his days as Tony Blair’s chief of staff would have lapsed long ago; the rules require a review after seven years, and he left Downing Street in 2007. In other words, the government put a man in charge of national security first and determined that he wasn’t a security risk afterwards, just as it did with Peter Mandelson (and look how that turned out). This is more than a procedural lapse. It is a window into how this government works: a combination of cronyism and complacency which, step by step, has allowed ideological zealotry to seep into the heart of our foreign policy. And when you look at what the vetting officers would have found had they been allowed to do their job first, it becomes clear why this matters so much... New post. Link in first reply

EXCLUSIVE: Leaked Home Office counter-terrorism documents link “nostalgia for traditionalism” and fears over immigration, liberalism and multiculturalism to “Christian extremism”. Officials propose working with churches to promote “theological resilience” against the use of Christian teachings to justify hatred or violence. I obtained dozens of pages from RICU’s report on “Christian extremism”. Among the findings: • Images of happy families in wartime, peaceful countryside and classical statues are described as a “hook” towards an extremist worldview. • Tommy Robinson’s rallies and a Christmas carol concert come under scrutiny, alongside Christian fitness groups. • “Bob from Speakers’ Corner” features, despite RICU identifying no extremist content from him. Yet the report acknowledges that the threat of violence from Christian extremists remains “low”. Jeremiah Igunnubole, UK legal counsel for ADF, says the report “suggests an institutional anti-Christian bias has taken hold in the Home Office”. stevenedginton.substack.com/…

Dear @Ed_Miliband - you have not yet posted about the latest terrorist attack against Israelis by Palestinians that left two dead and multiple in critical condition. You're normally very quick to criticise Israel - why so slow today?

Jonathan Powell has a problem: his wife. As a result, Britain has a problem: Jonathan Powell. For days, Sarah Helm has doubled down on her apparent sympathy for terrorist groups, including not just Palestine Action but even, in the past, Hamas. The questions have now reached Parliament: our national securiry adviser's clearance, vetting, and his record on China and Chagos. But the bigger story is what this says about British foreign policy. At the very moment when our relationship with Israel – an intelligence partner that has saved countless British lives – is in jeopardy due to empty, pro-Palestine virtue-signalling, our national security adviser is engulfed in this controversy. His position is untenable. He must go. New post. Link in first reply 👇

When Reform's letters to postal voters in Portsmouth were ready to go out, two undercover ITV reporters were personally responsible for almost two hundred of them in the ward of Drayton and Farlington. Reform lost Drayton and Farlington by 24 votes. The same two men were responsible for delivering leaflets to half the ward of Baffins. Reform lost Baffins by 85 votes. These were men whose purpose was to infiltrate Reform UK and damage it. In two wards decided by a few dozen votes, we believe there are reasonable grounds to conclude that ITV altered the result of British elections. There is no precedent for this. It is certainly not journalism. We believe it to be criminal. We will hold ITV and its activists to account.

Sarah Helm has been pushing images of Burayr, which was once a small Arab village northeast of Gaza City. She posted them to promote the Nakba myth: that a poor Arab village was massacred and depopulated by violent, nasty Jews who just wanted to ethnically cleanse the Arabs. As usual with fictions such as this, she begins at the point when the Jews responded to Arab violence. Burayr’s history did not begin with its capture. @SarahHelm1 did not bother to tell anyone that it was the Arabs who started the war. She also neglected to describe how the village of Burayr was armed and hostile; how villagers attacked vehicles trying to take supplies to Jewish villages; how they blockaded roads and fired shots at Jews who tried to pass; and how, when a nearby kibbutz was established, Burayr villagers tried to kill its residents. Nor does she mention that the village lay on the Egyptian army’s invasion route, and that the Jews had to take control of the area and deal with hostile villages along the route, or they would have been massacred. This explains why the village was captured - and all of this is ignored. This is the true story of Israel's war of independence - a war of survival against Arabs who wanted to wipe them out. The end point - when the Arabs paid the price for losing a war they started - is all that she cares about. She is trying to invert history and make the aggressors - the Arabs - look like innocent victims. Hope this helps clear that up.

Imagine this: An ISIS terrorist involved in executions arrives illegally on a small boat, only to be allowed to roam our streets freely while staying in Windsor. No, this isn’t satire. This is the absurd reality of the UK today. And Whitehall won’t deport him because “he might be mistreated”. Oh, give me a break. When will British lives take priority over a terrorist’s human rights? The sooner we scrap the ECHR, the better.

Leftie teachers are shocked that they might soon be prevented from wearing Palestine badges in the classroom. Spare a thought for the rest of us who are shocked that you were doing that in the first place. You taught kids, including Jewish kids, while adorned in the colours under which more than a thousand Jews were massacred by Islamo-fascists just three years ago?
