Hwy. 114 has reopened. Please drive safely!
Replying to @KellerPolice
Westbound Hwy. 114 will be closed at Dove Road for a couple of hours. Estimated time to reopen is 10:30 a.m.
Eastbound traffic will also have a lane closed due to debris, but will remain open. Please avoid the area this morning.
TRAFFIC ALERT
We’re working a major vehicle accident in the westbound lanes of Hwy. 114 near Solona Blvd. in the Town of Westlake.
It's officially hot enough to bake cookies on our dashboards, so it's time to talk about summer safety for TOE BEANS!
Determining whether it's too hot to take your pup out for their walk takes just five seconds by placing the back of your hand against the pavement.
If you can't hold it comfortably for five seconds, you need to find a different time. Early morning is your best option for a safe walk during the Texas summer, but a late-night excursion will still be safer than midday or early evening.
Let's make it a SAFE holiday weekend, everybody! That may include:
- Sunscreen
- Bug Spray
- Shade
- Life Jackets
- Eyes on the Pool
- Eyes on the Grill
- Responsible Drinking
- Designated Drivers
- Proper HY-DRA-TION
- No Fireworks in City Limits
We'll be here if you need us!
Monthly outdoor warning system test, or an alarm reminding folks that it’s three hours until Keller Lights? You be the judge.
Either way, expect to hear the sirens blaring around 1 p.m.
All lanes of Hwy. 377 have been closed in both directions for an accident investigation involving multiple vehicles just north of the Westport Parkway intersection.
TRAFFIC ALERT
The North Tarrant Regional Crash Team is currently investigating a fatal traffic collision along westbound Hwy. 114 in the Town of Westlake.
One person was confirmed deceased at the scene and another was transported to a local hospital in stable condition. All involved parties remained at the scene and are cooperating with the investigation. It is unknown if speed or alcohol were factors in this collision.
Summer has arrived, and you know what that means: Slurpee citations!
Our officers will be on the lookout for kiddos making smart, safe choices out in the community in the weeks ahead — everything from wearing their helmets to playing kindly with others.
