$35 million in taxpayer money, and the current government still won’t get it back. Where’s the accountability?

The numbers don’t lie. The government said that moving away from failed harm reduction policies was supposed to make the overdose crisis worse. Instead, the numbers went in the opposite direction. It’s time to follow the evidence, learn from the results, and focus on what works.

As the holidays approach, I'm proud to highlight the work of Reception House and its Home Begins Here initiative. With 34 transitional housing units planned, this project will help vulnerable families in Waterloo Region move from crisis to stability while reducing pressure on community resources. Every family deserves a safe place to call home.

Experts are warning of rising food costs. Canadians are already struggling with affordability, yet the government voted against our diesel plan to help bring costs down. Canadians need relief, not more pressure on their grocery bills.

Canadians are tired of empty promises and government announcements that fail to deliver real results. Conservatives are calling for real action, accountability, and a government that gets things done. Canadians deserve more than talk. They deserve actual results.

The drug crisis has devastated families and communities across Canada. Every level of government has a role to play in preventing overdoses, supporting recovery and ensuring those who traffic dangerous drugs are held accountable. We need action that puts lives and community safety first.

Oktoberfest may be over for another year, but the community spirit lives on! Thank you to all the local businesses, organizations, volunteers and everyone who helped make this year’s celebrations so special. From TechToberfest and Chamberfest to Damenfest and events supporting great local causes, it’s traditions like these that bring our community together. Prost!

This week’s Women’s Spotlight honours the Famous Five, five women who challenged the status quo and changed the course of Canadian history. 🇨🇦 In 1927, Emily Murphy, Nellie McClung, Henrietta Muir Edwards, Louise McKinney and Irene Parlby challenged the exclusion of women from the legal definition of “persons” eligible to serve in the Senate. After the Supreme Court initially ruled against them, their fight continued until a historic ruling in 1929 confirmed that women were legally considered persons and could be appointed to the Senate. Their determination helped break down barriers and advance women’s representation in Canada. Their legacy reminds us that progress happens when people stand up, challenge barriers and refuse to accept the status quo. We honour their contributions and the women who continue to pave the way for future generations. 💜

Today, I presented a petition on behalf of Kitchener Centre residents demanding answers about the Rogers radio closures. During the Shaw acquisition, assurances were made that local radio would not be impacted. Kitchener residents deserve answers and accountability. Local jobs, local news, and our community’s voice matter.

Canada needs immigration, but it must be at sustainable levels that our country can support. Immigration policy must keep pace with our housing supply, healthcare, jobs, and social supports. Conservatives are calling for responsible immigration levels that match our capacity, strengthen our communities, and put Canada’s long-term future first.

$7.8 million of your tax dollars to affordable housing to the Dominican Republic. Part of a $100 million dollar initiative. At the same time the Liberal build Canada homes went from 500,000 homes to 26,000 over the next 5 years. A failure The Prime Minister is all talk and no action.
